Which knife did you own that you most regret selling?

I sold a Benchmade Phil*Boguszewski Spike, plain edge, years ago when I was tight for a buck. The plain edge versions were kinda hard to come by too.

They were long discontinued at the time and i knew a guy that just HAD to have it. I made a killing on the sale but I still regret selling it to this day.

It was a beautiful knife and had a snap that made it want to fly out of the hand.

Good question. Probably too many to admit - LOL!

But the first one that comes to mind was my original BM AFCK. What a great knife - should've kept it! The other one that immediately comes to mind was my first Bark River Mini NorthStar in birdseye maple with mosaic pins. Gorgeous knife, no longer available - should've kept it!

Btw, I remember those Boguszewski Spikes, too I see one every now and then at the local Gun-n-Knife show, so they're still around.

I should have kept my Busse DSSF - but I am sure it went to a good home....

There are two, both of which I ended up trading. First was a Chris English "Z" auto with a titanium frame, Damascus blade, and beautiful thick grade A white mother of pearl handle slabs. It was just too pretty to carry, and I won't own anything I won't actually use. Wish I had kept it, though.

Second, a Benchmade 850 in Pearl, with "rec.knives" stamped on the blade. A limited special order by members of the original online blade hangout.

Both of these were traded for decent knives, one of which I still have (Microtech LCC D/A). I just wish I could have spared the cash, instead of making the trades.

Still don't own any pearl-handled knives, for fear of dropping and breaking them.

My survive 3.5. I was still new to nice knives, didn't realize what I had but it indeed went to a good home and that's nice:thumbup:

Oh man, where to start, where to start:

-Spyderco Dodo (Orange and CF models)
-DPx Aculus
-Chaves 228 (first version)

To just name a few...

Probably only sold around 8-10 knives but I regret selling the ZT 0566. Hit a few sweet spots and I hope to own another one someday.

My 3" Spanto XM-18. I got a fantastic trade on it, so I would do it again (I guess that means I don't truly regret it then...:D) but I loved it and am having a hard time finding a replacement.
Great knife, that 3".

Not a damn one of them and that includes at least 30 Spydercos, 10 Benchmades, 4 CRKs, 3 ZTs, and a lot of others. Anything I really missed I tried again and if the magic wasn't there then off they went again. My modern folders are down to CRK, Strider and a couple Spydies. I quit "collecting" a couple years ago and if a knife doesn't find time in my pocket then I have no desire for it.

I can't ever remember selling a knife. Honestly. When I'm done with a knife I pass it on to my son. Same way with my guns that I no longer enjoy. He turned 40 this year & he's doing quite well in the firearms & knives area.

Once i found out what a real marble's trailmaker was, i found one and bought it for a very nice price.

Not being a trail maker or any kind of woodsman myself, i just looked at it for years. I ended up bringing it to a gunshow and the trailmaker + $50 got me into a very nice 4" S&W 586 which i still have. I came out way, way ahead.

But i do have a certain amount of regret. It was a magnificent blade.

I wish I had every one I have ever bought, but a lot of them wouldn't have been purchased unless I sold some.

Lots of exellent spidies, CRK'S and hinderer's.

Umnumzaan and and custom spearpoint come to mind as well as a 3.5 wharnie that was freggin awesome. I also miss my gb1 and sage1 and pm2..... and Lg plain insingo.... Volotton

I find I have slowed down on buying new blades now. I really think it through... I probably think about future knife purchases too much! Haha

two NIB titanium millies (the updated ones with steel inserts on their lock bars.) i was short on money then. now, i trashed the only ti millie i have. :(

Cold Steel San Mai III Natchez Bowie
Redemption update: I just replaced it!
