Which knife was instant attraction that proved correct?

As a lefty, the BM 300-1 was an instant love affair.
And the extra credit, my mini-recon 1 clip point.

I immediately loved the look of the zt 0550. Aquired one about a year ago and it remains one of my favorite and most used knives. Bought and sold many Hinderers, CRKs, and Striders since then, and while all fine knives, they just didn't do for me what the 0550 does, especially considering the price point.

For extra credit, I purchased a quartermaster qse-5tt on a whim. It had an extremely tight detent and once that broke, was not smooth at all. Immediately contacted bladehq to return it and they emailed me the return postage. Before I sent it back I took it apart, smoothed out and lightly sanded the washers and it was immensely better. The detent has also broken in nicely and I currently carry this knife daily and love it. Please don't bash me on the subject of Jared West/Mantis. I've read about everything there is on the subject and while not proud of myself for it, I really like this knife.

My "love at first sight" was the benchmade 51, I was saving every dollar I could scrap up to get one, that was about 5 years ago.

The only knife I had remorse after buying was a DLC manix 2, I was about to return it because I didn't like it at first. Then I took it to work for a week and realized how wonderful it is! The ergos, the grind, the lockup, the ball bearing system, everything just spoke to me after using it for a week. It's now one of my favorite design!

Spyderco Southard - I loved it at first sight, then was indecisive about the design, cost, etc. I had an opportunity to trade for one here, and couldn't be happier that I did. What really pushed me towards it is the customization. (Thanks go out to ShepardCC for this one.)
