Good evening. I am new to the site and had a question.
If you had to choose one of these knives, which one would you choose?
Spyderco Delica with M390 or Benchmade Bugout with S30V. Not sure how to post pictures.

I'd have to say Benchmade Bugout between the two for me personally. Not that the Delica is bad...

I'm more of a Spyderco guy than a BM guy, although I do have plenty from both. Including a Delica and a Bugout.

For a single knife I'd probably go Bugout. They both do the same thing but the Bugout is way more fidget friendly.

Although as DMG said. I much prefer the Hogue Deka over the Bugout. It's usually cheaper, better built imo, and is available in Magnacut..

M390 Delica.

I have a Delica in 20CV, which is essentially the same alloy. I have other Delicas, as well. The Delica is so thin it disappears in the pocket, but thanks to the nested liners is very robust in the hand. And the pattern on the handles ensures a super sure grip. Highly recommended.,

Here's my 20CV Delica and 20CV Endura

Benchmade, every time. I started with a Spyderco yellow Rescue, something or other. Handy knife, to be sure. Carried it on the job until i lost it.

I graduated/really 'cut my teeth' on an AFO, then Elishiwitz...so a decided sway towards the Benchmade.

As far as the powdered super steels, i dont have that refined a taste. My two regular work knives are Elmax and M390, the latter taking mostly of the daily constant cutting, needing only the occasional touch up (until i set it down somewhere and lose it for a day or two...switch to thicker Elmax.) All to say the M390 is a workhorse, in my view more attributable to grind, rather than it's version of tge Rockwell 60+ (shades of gray) powdered super steel whatever.

Bugout looks cooler. Pick that one.

Out of those two, I’d go with the Bugout. I’ve had a few of both, and the Bugout worked better for me. They’re pocket friendly, have great ergonomics, and are good looking knives.

They are also easy to open and close with one hand, which is important to me sometimes.
