I have two Ferrum Forge Fortis 2.0 knives. One is plain, and one has grooves. (The picture speaks for itself, though.) I cannot afford to keep both knives, so I'll sell one. Can't decide which one to keep and which one to sell, and I'd rather not agonize over the decision, so please vote in the provided poll to help me decide. Once you vote, you can see the current voting results. Thanks for your help; I appreciate it.

Definitely keep the plain.

I'm a sucker for phallic symbols. Still waiting for my penis shaped super soaker.

All joking aside, there are a few reasons to sell the plain one.

You may get more money, especially from the non-penile obsessed. They may be the majority, not including those voting in the poll.

Better grip on the grooved version.

Grooved is more unique.

It's grooved for her pleasure.

I chose plain, not because of the non-phallic nature but of the fact that I like plain and simple designs if I can get them. The grooves are too busy for me. On the other hand, don't worry what others think. You wouldnt get rid of your personal phallic handle cause of the looks would you? You would use it to procreate a whole new knife centric generation! My final answer is post them both with a note "only selling one, you choose" whichever gets a higher offer then sell it. It seems that you like both and therefore cannot decide. So let the buyer decide. Another thing I like to do is flip a coin. Grooved=heads Plain is tails. If you hope for one or the other in mid air, you have your answer. If it really is a pure toss then let the coin decide.

OP here. This will likely be my final update. (if something unexpected happens that pertains to this thread, I'll probably comment again.)

The grooved and plain versions each have their pros and cons. The grooved one is a little more interesting, it has a better grip to it, and the anodization is done better (in my opinion), but of course, some people think it looks like a phallus. The plain one has a classic simplicity and won't be mistaken for a phallus, but it's more slippery in the hand, and the anodization is kind of dull and shows fingerprints *very* easily. (FYI: Lots of times people think that anodization is wearing off, when in reality, it's obscured by fingerprints. Wipe your knife down with an alcohol wipe, and the anodization will usually pop back up.)

Just over 100 people voted, and it's close, but the "plain" people are slightly ahead of the "grooved" people, so I started seriously considering the plain knife. I really do wish the anodization was better. Regardless of what it looks like in the photo, it's a little dull in person. But I have a complete ano setup (120V power supply, Multi-Etch solution, and rock tumbler), so if I wanted to, I could theoretically redo it, though I'm still an anodizing newbie and am learning as I go.

Unexpectedly, a solution that is better than I could have hoped for presented itself yesterday. I purchased a Ferrum Forge Archbishop (the slight step up from the Fortis 2.0, which is what I have) in blue with carbon fiber inlay for a rather good price. It looks really good and has none of the problems of the two knives I have asked you to vote on, while retaining just about all of their good points. So, once the Archbishop arrives, I will wind up selling both of these Fortis knives.

Thank you to everyone who bothered to vote in the poll.

I voted for the grooved model. I think it makes it stand out. Also assuming that grooved scales offer better grip.

They are both great so you can’t go wrong.
