Which PM2 variant is your favorite?

IIRC S30V and S35VN are more corrosion resistant and I am fairly certain M390 is as well.

S110V has more chromium than S30V/S35VN. It is at least as stainless. Probably more so. M390 looks to be a bit better than all three.

But, S110V is plenty, plenty stainless. Not an issue to worry over with it.

Which steel do you guys suggest for me?

I bought a PM1 which i really like and am looking at getting a PM2. 80% of my cutting is cutting cardboard, 10 food and 10% misc like rope and plastic.

I live in Holland, 10 miles from sea, so not very sure about a non stainless. But it's not a very humid place.

I’d suggest the S110V PM2 all the way. For holding up to cardboard cutting it honestly has no equal. M390 will hold a fine razor edge for longer, but S110V will hold an extremely aggressive working edge for like, ever and always. That’s what’s great about it.

gave away my like new blackout as a thank you gift to my uncle for helping me move. The color, steel, quality, and value were all winners for me.
You know . . . I was thinking today . . . from an appearance stand point my fave may just be that knife. It is my only safe queen after all; I can't stand the thought of scratching the pristine DLC.

What ? No love for the CTS-20CP ?

I think the blacked out PM2 is the best looking. The color makes the blade look more proportionate to the handle, but that dlc sure does look used once you cut stuff.

My favorite of the PM2's that I own is the Red M390. But my favorite for edc use is my S30V with custom Carbon Fiber scales in 2x2 Twill. You can't beat it for everyday EDC and I don't feel like I am killing a real good knife. It's not about how much they cost because I carry much more expensive knives. I just happen to like the PM2's because I think they are amazing knives. I actually also carry the S110 Blurple alot but those are the only ones I actually use but I wont hesitate to carry my ZT 0560 or 0562 but there is something special about owning nice PM2's and keeping them in pristine condition.

If a Para2 comes out with a steel I don't yet have one in, I buy it. Can't help myself.
That's normal right?

Eleven of them so far. I've yet to use the M390, 52100, Cru-wear, XHP that are lined up in the drawer. But I'll get to them in time.

Based on using them...
My favorite for quite a while was the Elmax version, one of two folders that sold me on Elmax as a blade steel.

Then I got the CF/M4, and that took over as favorite.

Now, it's the Maxamet Para2. Edge holding, darn! But, I haven't tried to sharpen it yet (just touched up on the SM so far) and I'm curious as to what re profiling and sharpening Maxamet will be like, having read so many widely varying reports on it.

An older pic when I had only 6.

Moved on from the PM2 in favor of the Military but of the 17 different PM2s I own if I am going to grab one for the day it is almost always just the good ol' S30v Digi Camo. Hard to beat it for great all around use.

Cruwear. Perhaps my top steel in a folder and all wrapped up in a PM2 package for the win!

The DLC actually holds up extremely well. My original is the digi dlc which I’ve used a fair amount and it still looks new.
