Which Sak to get

I found.a good deal on a spartan. It looks close to the tinker anyone have these and like them
I've carried Tinkers and Spartans. I prefer the Spartan over the Tinker. I find the Spartan's corkscrew handy for helping to loosen overly-tight knots, as well as holding my mini eyeglass screwdriver. I find more uses for that than the Tinker's dedicated Phillips driver.

On a daily basis, I EDC my Victorinox Executive in my RF pocket and either my Spartan or my Alox Pioneer in my L cargo pocket. In fact, if I don't think I'll need the corkscrew/mini screwdriver on a given day, I'll opt for the Pioneer. The features on the Executive and the Pioneer complement each other almost perfectly for general EDC tasks.

For under $20, I'd recommend the Recruit. On a good day you can find them for ~$15. I have mine on me every day. As long as you don't try to cut down a tree with it, it'll last a lifetime.

I keep an older Minichamp on my keys. If you can find a used one, they're ridiculously useful little buggers. There's always someone with a cigar box full of Classics at the local gun and knife show for $5. You might get lucky and find a Minichamp in the mix.
I am looking at the recruit also

As much as you can. They are addictive quality knives that build memories!
I love the Soldier and the Spartan.

I own a Huntsman and literally grew up with it. It's near-perfect except that I'd prefer a Phillips driver over the corkscrew, hence I'd vote Fieldmaster. I also own a Hiker which has the Phillips driver, but the Hiker doesn't have scissors, so the Fieldmaster just seems to be a more complete package.

I also own a One-handed Trekker, but my preference with regards to SAKs has gone back to the classic 91mm models as I carry modern folders now and no longer need (or want) one-handed operation and locking mechanisms on my SAKs. The main problems the OHT had for me were the lefty liner-lock and the up-down blade-play.

I'd prefer the 93mm Alox models if they started to include the toothpick and tweezers. Until then, Cellidor it is.

I am a fan of the huntsman now. Only thing I haven't used is the hook. Don't know about that thing. The small screwdriver works well on Phillips head screws and the corkscrew holds my small screwdriver for glasses. It's not a real small knife, but it's not overly large. Got the big scissors on it.

Every one should own at least one SAK. They make a model that covers just about anyones daily needs.
My personal favorite is the Farmer because of the excellent little saw .

Well since I really only use the toothpick, certainly take what I say with a grain of salt. I have a Recruit that I bought 8 years ago, that up until 6 months ago was my key ring knife. That's why the covers look faded and scratched but other than the toothpick (I need to get a new one soon) everything on the inside looks untouched.

I have used the two blades on occasion but as I carry a clipped folder, I don't use them all that much and have never used the can/bottle opener. So if you are in the same boat just get whatever is the best price and use the hell out of it.

Oh and I replaced the Recruit, which now resides in my work vest, with an SD Classic that, you guessed it, I still only use the toothpick.

I use the heck out of the toothpick on my Classic and I just can't imagine carrying a model without one. I use the scissors a fair bit and the nail file. I would never notice if the knife blade was gone and probably not the tweezers. But that toothpick? Oh yeah, I'd notice that right away!

I've narrowed down to 4 I think
The cadet, recruit, tinker, and tourist. All the suggestions are so helpful . I've never owned a sak like I said previously. I've looked at them alot over the years but just never bought one. I had no idea there were so many different ones.
I am leaning heavily to the recruit and cadet right now. I just hope this doesn't become another addiction to a brand of knife lol. I've sold all my knives for now due to financial reasons but when things get better I'll have to work and build up my buck collection and case. Victrinox may be having some representation. I may if can find them cheap enough buy the cadet and reserve both. I'd still like to hear comments or suggestions if anyone has them.

Tinker in my pocket, and a Classic on my keys.
Adventurer (big Tinker) in my pocket and Leatherman Ps4 on my keys.;) Been pondering going back to either the Small Tinker or regular Tinker. I have both. All I have to do is put them in my pocket.

Earl1, when you choose, be sure to be aware whether the model choice is two or three layers. Makes a difference in pocket comfort.

That is why I've been looking at the recruit and the cadet. I want something slim because many times I have 2 knives in my pocket, unless I'm carrying a modern with a clip. Just can't decide . So many choices . The 3 layers might be a bit wide for me. I think the 2 layer is the best for me ,nothing bigger than that other than maybe in a glovebox or a hunting pack when I get back where I can hunt

On paper, my favorite SAK is the Alox Soldier/Pioneer. In reality, I am better served by the Cadet.

At one time I carried a Cadet as my 30-day challenge. I found that I could do most of what can be done with the Pioneer but I have a lighter package. I also found out that I never want to carry anything smaller than a Cadet. I can highly recommend the Cadet. The Pioneer, Farmer and the Electrician also work well. Any Alox, really.

If you must have toothpick and tweezers, the Spartan or Recruit come to mind. The Mechanic that I use at work has also served me well.

Another vote for the Pioneer/soldier.
It's blade is substatial, and the flat profile of a 2 layered SAK makes it disappear in your pockets.
The silver alox makes it look amazing forever imho.
