I'm assuming your 4V knives are the St Nick's black-bladed, red G10 models. Those are sweet knives--great lookers--and one version that I missed, though I do recall having seen them a time or two here at BF--maybe yours? I see they go for a premium as limited edition, discontinued knives and would certainly be tempted by one.I missed this version!I’ve got the Fluted Ti, KWs S90V CF/TI, Rex 45, And 2 4Vs. I had the BHQ DLC M4 that I traded for an OTF..boneheaded! I agree the Military is fantastic and those TI versions are some of Goldens best craftsmanship. Doubt we’ll see another exclusive but I’d vote for a REC 10V Coyote G10

I hear you on the DLC getting messed up over time! I’ve found that some rubbing alcohol and a thin coat of mineral oil(wiped off) “restores” the DLC on Spydercos. It’s actually tougher than coatings from other manufacturers in my use. Though if dropped on concrete, rocks, or anything abrasive it does suffer…understandably! I’ve scraped up my 4V Military user on stucco a couple times now. What do you think of the new Military 2?I'm assuming your 4V knives are the St Nick's black-bladed, red G10 models. OTOH, I've got this funny thing about black blades--I love the look, but hate it when they get all marked up and tend not to carry and use them. I've sold off some I really liked 'coz they just sat unused. My Digicam Millie was part of Military, PM2, PM3 matched set that I moved on from as they all had black blades that I couldn't bear to mess up. I've got an 806B D2 AFCK that I love, but it doesn't get pocketed, though it's not going anywhere and I do have a couple satin AFCKs that get carried and used. That's why I like Blackwash and Battle Black as they're wear-hiding, much like Parkerized clips over painted versions.
Anyway, I'd love to see your knives here or a link to past postings.

That's a nice platoon of Military's there, my friend!I hear you on the DLC getting messed up over time! Here’s some of the nicks in DLC on my user 4V military. Second picture of blade from alcohol to clean up glue and other material on finish, almost looks dried out. Last picture is after mineral oil wipe down. That's a nice platoon of Military's there, my friend!
Discussing black blades got me looking through my accumulation of knives, and finding not a lot of those--a BlackWash ZT, a similarly bladed CKF SSE, a BMK SW Graphite, and a Battle Black RHK Firetac being regularly carried examples of that sort of distressed finish--alongside a Spydie Cutlerry Shop Tenacious and the aforementioned AFCK that are straight black and don't get used. I've got a CeraKoted 806-1501BK that's the only blacked-out regular carry with a non-distressed finish that's held up well with use. It's even got a fairly deep scratch that doesn't show through or look bad and I've read that DLC is an even tougher coating. I might give that a whirl if a St Nick's PM2 or Millie comes along at an affordable price. Yours look really nice and I don't have anything in 4V either.
Closer to being on topic, and to answer your question, I really like my CruCarta Military 2 and it pairs well with my CC PM2. I think the full liners on both are excellent features. I will say, however, that my three others strike me as "true" Millies while the M2 seems more like a large-sized Para2 to me. There's nothing wrong with that, though.Couple older pics, here....
