southard

A whole passel of em! All but the Stretch are new, acquired for my assignment to Japan cuz of their 60MM blade length limit.

the Tuff....I received it via UPS today from a very generous member in the "pay it forward" thread. I have a couple other Spyderco knives, but this is indeed a very different animal.

The Southard w/ slight mods Tip down carry, burgundy scale, acid stone washed clip. Love this knife.

bladecommander, that is a sick looking southard. where/how did you get that done to the grip?

Thank you very much!!
Its a blue mother of pearl Kirinite scale that I made myself with my Dremel Tool. I used a sanding drum bit to shape it and make the anso pattern, then drill some holes for the screws and use a little cutter bit to countersink (a drill press would be better if I had one).

The anso pattern really brings out the swirls in the scale. I like it alot. Thanks for the complement.
Heres another pic for fun

I definitly like the carbon fiber on the southard. Totally brings the classiness up a few notches. The brown scale is almost a let down to such a great knife imo.

I think there would have been better choices too. I have a micarta coming soon excited to see how it looks with the blasted frame and hardware.
