  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Which Spyderco are you carrying today?

I was doing a rotation thru my favorite cheap EDCs (as reported in the "What EDC are you carrying today? thread) but just this found this used but "like new" full sized LionSteel (C157GTi) in my PO Box today and couldn't resist immediately pocketing it.

The roughly 3 5/8" long x 1 1/4" wide x 3/16" thick Elmax bade is a big hunk of steel and there's no lock stick because there's an adjustable piece of steel attached to the end of the titanium frame lock which abuts steel to steel (when the knife is locked open) in a way that I've not seen on any other knife. Quite ingenious.

The LionSteel is a much heftier knife (reminds me of a ZT) than is typical of Spyderco that I am very fond off. I also like that it's made in Italy and was able to get it at 50% less than the typical asking price for this knife. :)

BTW, who knew that the pivot on the lockbar overtravel desive also functioned as a blade lock which is called a Rotolock? Just learned that by actually reading Spyderco's description of the knife.

Reading is fundamental. LOL! ;)

I have the little brother model which I carried today. I love it and it is basically a LionSteel SR1/2 w/ a Spyder hole and Elmax instead of Sleipner.
