Which spyderco is the hardest to find?

If it was here on the exchange it was probably me...

I didn't know what to price it at...I didn't have much to compare to. Within 2 days I dropped the price by $100 (if its me you are referring to). My price was based on rarity, condition, the fact I was trying to sell to so I could fund another knife, and a little portion of the price was me already having sellers remorse.

You're killing me.
But the knife I was referring to was offered on fleebay. I don't think it sold.

Fluted Titanium Native5

I would agree with this one.I was on a list(no paid pre-order,just email when they get them) with a popular dealer. The Ti Native's came & went without a word from them.

I was in the same exact situation. On preorder but didn't get an email. Fortunately, I just happened to check my BHQ Wish List on April Fool's Day and all of a sudden it changed from Preorder to In Stock. I jumped on it. It's quite a thing of beauty.

there seem to be a number of models that are in chronic short supply. Maybe there are just too many SKUs, and not enough production capability.

I think an original two screws worker will be hard to find.
I can think of a few that are pretty hard to find. The full serrated CPM D2/Foliage green G-10 Paramilitary is going to be a problem. Well, not all that hard to find, but getting it away from spydutch is going to be tough. The Cranberry Lum Chinese would be easier since there are two of them.
Didn't he also have a SE D2 Military? Pretty rare that one as well :D
Spydutch certainly had both. Also, I am sure that more than just one pieces were made. I saw both knives sold on ebay by the same seller from Colorado couple years ago.
Temperance folder.
There is one on e-bay right now. The price is little to high IMHO and the seller cannot sell it for a while.

Flat iron folder... Damn near impossible to find. Ill find a UFO before I find a flatiron.

I saw one sell on the big auction site a couple months ago. I was amazed to see it. Went for almost $300.

Native PE AUS-10 in all stainless

The very first first Spyderco (Native II C42) I ever bought back in August 2000 with the only difference being mine is partially serrated. Lots of scratches on the SS handles.

The PS versions come up for sale now and again, mostly in used condition. I almost never see the PE ones.

Certain flavors of spyderkeys/hummingbirds, tracker, Sashimi KX05, Pink Yamahide, orange and black rescue snap it. Man I miss collecting queens, someday :(

bout any with cf.

When talking about the first generation glossy Carbon Fiber I certainly agree with you there. One that I could kick myself for trading was a NIB fully Serrated, left handed Police model with the glossy CF handle. And I also traded away a Carbon Fiber handled Civilian and I haven't seen one since. The Carbon Fiber Cricket sure is getting tough to find now a days as well.

Some of the colored Dyad Juniors are getting virtually impossible to find. Fully Serrated Catcherman models are not showing up on the radar anymore either. The original Temperance 1 model in either PE or SE are practically non existent anymore and makes me extremely thankful that I have both of them for everyday users.

Also you can add the original VG-10 Spyderhawk to the almost extinct list of Spyders. Along with the Vagabond, Toad, Impala and Lil Temperance. All of those truly are on the endangered species list.

Can't remember the name of it, but it is the one Spydie that has a nail nick instead of a round hole.

Jess Horn.
Unless you are thinking about Ramco Laguiole, which is popular among Spydernuts and was sold by Spyderco, but not a Spyderco

Arent there some gold plated workers or something of that nature out there?

There are also several all black ss models that dont pop up too often, police is one, think maybe the worker and rescue too?

The gold TiNi models were made by a distributor John F Jensen. He also did some black TiNi versions. I believe he did the worker, hunter and the standard IIRC.

There are very few all black SS models actually produced by Spyderco.

That sounds about right, thanks.

Couple other tough finds, blue or red jesters, pe and se, good luck with
Those : )

I'd certainly say that some kitchen knives could be considered "rare". ;)
