Which Spyderco to get?

Hi all, I have about 150 dollars of spending money laying around, and was looking at a nice Spyderco to buy for EDC use. I was wondering what your all's opinion is on which Sypderco would be best for everyday use ;). I've narrowed it down to the 3 below, but always open for suggestions, even if it's not Spyderco, these are just the ones I found from skimming a website. Thanks all in advance.

So far I've narrowed it down to the Sage(In carbon fiber, s30v blade), the Manix 2(Sprint run with CTS-BD30P Carpenter steel blade, g10 handles, and the "Ball Bearing Lock mechanism"), and the Paramilitary 2(s30v blade, g10 handles, compression lock).

As far as requirements for the knife I really don't have much besides I'd like a decent steel knife that I don't have to sharpen all the time :).

If I was in your situation, I would get the sprint run manix 2 since I can always get the others later. Since the sprint is in limited numbers, availability may be a problem if you decide later that it is what you want. I'm not really a fan of the manix 2 platform but you can always sell it later for not much loss if you decide it's not for you.

I'm not really looking at the collector standpoint, whatever I buy is going to be used. Plus I'm horrible at selling any knife I own, no matter how bad it is :D.

Yep, I was not looking at the collector's standpoint too. Just a matter of availability. I would think that if the manix 2 platform worked for you, a 30P manix 2 would be a great user. Having said that, I mostly carry a Para 2.

If I could also put some opinions too, I would recommend the Manix 2 sprint run with CTS-BD30P. The steel composition looks it would get nice results in edge retention. Also agree with user singularity35, that the availability of this Manix would be lower in the future, so now buy Manix and later try any of 2 other mentioned. Maybe the Manix2 with the older grinding would be more rock solid , depends on what are you planning to do with it.

I also have the Sage and I have been using it as a home EDC, because for out EDC I like rather longer blade. This knife is very well manufactured, lightweight, grinding very well done and edge razor sharp.

On the Para2 I can say just not much things, because I had it just one time in my hands. This knife I would use for both of EDC(home and out). For me it seems as a compromise of my requirements of home and out EDC.

Another vote for the Manix 2 sprint for the reasons singularity35 mentioned.

Normally I'd vote for the para2 but having read what singularity35 said, I say the sprint Manix.
Edit: On second thought, you could spring for a sprint para2 in CTS-20CP...just sayin' ;)

I was thinking of that Azn, but for one I couldn't find it on the sites I looked at, plus I plan on buying a few extra little knives along with a EDC one :D.

I just recently got the manix 2 in BD-30P and I absolutely love it, so my vote goes to it.

I am in the same boat, love all three but cant decide which to pull the trigger on. I was dead set on the Sage when they came out, but then the Para 2 caught my attention, and now the Manix seems like solid comepetition.
I am not too fond of the slim pointy tip of the Paras, not crazy about the line lock on the Sage, and don't care for the handle jimping and weight on the Manix, maybe one day I will stop being so picky, lol.

Now the Native V is close to perfect;)

I don't have a Sage.
I do have a Manix2 in CTS-BD30P.

I have done comparison testing between S30V and CTS-BD30P. The CTS-BD30P was a bit better, but not enough to be the basis of a choice between knives. (see write-up in the testing forum if you wish.) However, I would recommend the Manix2 over the Carbon Fiber Sage because of the rest of the design of the Manix2, with which I am much taken. It is a well designed, well built knife. I like the ball bearing lock and prefer it to a liner lock as is in the Carbon Fiber Sage. Above all, I very much like the design of the handle. I know that handle shapes are a matter of personal preference, but to me the Manix2 has one of the best handle shapes I have found on any knife. (And as you might figure, I have quite a number of knives upon which to base that opinion.)

I not a fan of the Manix 2 myself, but I have a Sage 1 and PARA 2.

I've only had the PARA 2 for about a month and rarely carry my other Spyderco's since I got it. I had an older PARA, and really like the changes they have made with the PARA 2.

Tough choice among the 3. But the Para2 is about the perfect knife in my opinion. Great size blade, great compression lock, great blade shape and very carryable weight and profile. But there's no wrong choice to be made with those 3 options.

I don't have the sage or para but since I bought the sprint manix 2 I stopped rotating my edc. Sometimes I carry other knives as well but the manix 2 is the perfect edc for me, love the ffg and bd30p is my new favorite steel. Holds a great edge and gets scary sharp with almost no effort. The only thing I had a problem with was the g10 was a bit rough on my pocket until I sanded it down under the pocket clip.

I think you should get the Gayle Bradley instead. I think it's one of the best values for knives in any price range. It has the carbon fiber scales and great fit and finish of the Sage (but a better CF pattern), plus a steel that you'd expect to find at a much higher price. The grind is thin (but still strong since M4 is so tough), so it slices like the best Spydies out there. And the design is very built up and durable.
