I don't have an 8 sided coin unfortunately and can't seem to make up my mind.

I've decided to buy a Lionsteel SR2A instead of the planned Protech Strider PT. I may get the PT eventually, but I've wanted an SR2A for some time and just never pulled the trigger. I can't make my mind up about the color though. Figured I'd let the forum decide.

Truth be told, I like this one the best, but can't justify spending an extra $120+ and hauling around the extra weight just for some pretty violet Ti.

Honestly I've always liked the red...
I could go for either place finish really.
Let us know what you end up with!
P.s. I want a Protech PT also but I wish it had better steel... I'd just as soon buy a real Strider PT just for better steel.

Better steel? It couldn't possibly. I love 154-cm/cpm154.

^^^YEP feel the same way about protechs 154cm and am just waiting for the protech pt's to get in stock at bladeHQ.

Well for 1, I thought the knife was closer to 200 dollars not 150ish but I'd rather have CPM154. I don't like 154cm. I have a Piranha toxin I literally never use because I don't like the steel. But my wife likes the mirror polished blade and often calls it her favorite knife so I keep it. If you like it that's great, but in my opinion they could've chose a better steel, and I'd rather spend twice as much on the real deal. That being said if I'm being completely honest, I don't have that much expirience with either of the 154 steels.
Most of the knives I actually use are s30v. Not by choice just happens that the ones I like to carry happened to be in the same steel...
Maybe I will revisit my Emerson and see if my mind has changed...
I'm also fairly new to knives, so I could be just making a fool of myself. Lol

It's generally considered to be a lesser steel, but I don't agree. I think it's the best all-rounder out there. It's relatively cheap, sharpens easily, takes a great polish and holds an edge well.

Ceteris paribus, I'm not going to spend any extra on a "better" steel.

I can agree it polishes well,
As I mentioned, I'd wager you've got more expirience with both 154cm and cpm154 than I do and I will go move a 154cm blade into my carry rotation so I can get a better idea of how the steel behaves.

Who knows, maybe I will end up realising I was wrong and end up with a Protech PT. As I said I do like the knife...
Time will tell.

I'd go with one of the red combinations, simply because we don't see many red options since you can't anodize titanium to red.

I voted for the classic black/satin. Might not be the most exciting, but you can't really go wrong with that combo.

I voted red & black Bryce.....love that knife in that color combo!
About the PT......grab one! Just got this one last week and it is awesome!!
