Recommendation? Which would you buy?!

Alright gentlemen..your talking to the new owner of a
M390 OD Green G3 ;)

Now I'm currently at a impass whether I should just call it quits at the leather sheath that the knife comes with or go Kydex..I'm worried that the Kydex sheath will be rather stiff compared to a nice leather one? Is this true? Anyone have experience with both? Once again thanks for all the info guys..the BF community making me a better "EDC'ist" everyday hahah.

There are two kydex sheaths available from Brad for the G3... a taco and a pancake style. The taco style is not much different from the leather one in size and feel, although it does sit a little farther off your waist than the leather one does. The pancake style kydex is bigger all around. Of the three styles, I use Brad's leather sheaths exclusively for my G3s. I carry crossdraw at 11:00 to make the knife easily available with either hand.

craytab craytab Man I'd love to show you guys but I don't want to pay 10 bucks just to have the account priveledges to post photos lol. If each and everyone of you send 1 dollar my way via PayPal I'll send as many pics as you want hahah.

dalefuller dalefuller Awesome! I'll stick with the leather one and see how it goes. I'll most likely have it at 11:00 too seeing as my tool belt sits at about 3 right now.

Although becoming a member that supports the forum would be great there is no need to do so only to post pics! I upload all my pics to imgur and post the links here. It is totally free!

I didn't think a free account could post links either, glad to know thanks man!

Alright gentlemen! Here she is..
First up is me popping the cherry on a onion prepping for dinner with the wife tonight, couldn't be happier (shitty scratchy factory edge, nothing against Bradford and the boys..lol).

Next up is me pain stakingly getting rid of all the inconsistencies and errors from the factory edge and acquiring that mirror finish (18dps) I strive for on M390 but hell is it a pain. She is scary sharp now though!

Excited to take it to work and see how it handles.

Absolutely agree that a fixed edc is the way to go my Southern Grind Jackal is IWB every day at 4oclock and I couldn't think of a better suggestion than a fixed blade. I do wonder if it would be possible to IWB crossdraw my knife that would make for a bit less dangerous draw

I'm having a hard time finding a nice position so that the handle of the knife isn't making my shirt poke out if that makes any sense ? I currently have mine at 4..I'm loving the way it's concealed but I'm not liking the draw? I have the scales facining inward toward the center of my back vs outward toward 3oclock.
How do you guys carry yours ?
How's the draw?

I reversed the belt clip on my kydex sheath to make it IWB cross draw. Now I carry it about 8 o'clock and the scales slant towards 9

Lionsteel tm1 micarta is tough as nails. I battoned with through wood with it just to see if it would stack up against the cold steel triad lock and it did. Lockup still rock solid and the sliepner steel is a very tough tool steel. Lock is easier to disengage than the triad lock too. I believe this knife is around $200
