The background is an old German cigarette tin, which I received as a birthday present, and which I've been meaning to post pics of in Carl's Lounge. The original owner of the tin was a German soldier who fought in the WW1 East Africa Campaign. It has a sizeable dent on one corner, which is matched by the contents of the tin, a rifle bullet, which has clearly ricocheted. I'm not at home at the moment, but I'll try to remember to take pics.

Thanks for the info Jack. Both very nice and rewarding items. Here's a Tidioute 73 in White Bone with their interesting corset style shield.

This is my current favourite knife .
It is displacing some very good knives and is punching well above its weight .

willgoy,
COOL THREAD, GREAT EYE CANDY.

Many thanks! Thanks to all the contributors on this varied thread.

Robin, that Rodgers Pen/Sleeveboard just superb item. Nice showing there Jack as well, you have a lot of unusual knives.

Here's a very modest RR but I forgot that Scrimshaw/scratting could be included in light coloured knives as well.
