Thanks. I think I can get all my users on that one.

He said I could have a whole log, and there's still about a 30" section left on the ground over there.

If anyone wants me to UPS it to them... :p

Cool,

Looks to me to be 18 of the First Three Hundred pictured here.

That is 18 what look to be different, One of the first 300 Battle Mistresses, as they were released by Busse while they were still in production.

While there are also some later released after end of production "Ganza" knives, what I am looking at are early, First batch Battle Mistresses.

While the 300 number has been commonly used for the last 8 years or so, I have come to suspect/believe that only 100 or so of this particular knife got sold in the early days, including the Presentation Straight Battle Mistresses.

So, what is shown here might well be nearly 20% of total production of those particular knives.

That is pretty cool.

Foo,

Got to love those three knives.

Got to love the round spine on the Wasp.

I said it then, I'll say it now "You Done Good"

I am a little narrow minded, While I continue to handle the FBMs, I have yet to find one that I like, I have seen several that I like the looks of, but none that I like the Feel of, I may end up settling for a FSH.

I hope that one day, Jerry will tell the story of the Development and trials that went into INFI, the Different heat treats and how Truly tough it was to get in the early days.

He told me long ago, but the Story is His to tell, not mine, so it is up to Him to someday write the story down for some ones book maybe.

Thanks Andre!

I think you might like the feel of the FBMs I've got on order with the custom shop
cough, cough... Garth.

I think they might be close to becoming a reality seeing as the 2008 FBM & FSH SEs are .270" thick,
full height ground blades. Both of which are specs I requested on my FBMs and FSHs long ago. ;)

There are a few other mods requested on both the FSHs and FBMs I've got on order,
the specifics I will leave out for now... and patiently wait for my perfect fusion mistresses to arrive.

When they do get here... I'd be happy to send you one to check out.
Something tells me we like the same feel in a chopper.
So in other words... don't give up yet Papa. ;)

you're talking smooth handles. 100 is the suspected number and even 50 is what I've heard. However, I wonder how many smooth handled std SHBM's were made after the first 300.

That's my prized SHBM! My smooth handled 1/300. It's got the cleanest grinds, has a LASER edge that's VERY thin and is really live/light in the hand. I like the shape of the scales as well. It's a fatty @ .270''. BAD ASS knife!

How thick is yours Dennis?

Missing a little CG something there in the 7" range aren't ya, Foo? I know Guyon knows what I'm talking about. ;)

I have added a couple to that line up since that pic. ;)

But I am still missing a black on black CG SFNO. :(

AAARRGGGHHHH!!!! Smooth slab SHBM!!!! now I have a new one to add to the list ...Thanks Dennis!!!

Tried to jump right past this ... but couldn't.
