That would be the CRKT Grey Ghost Mirage by Hammond. The regular Mirage had AUS6. This one is deluxe with ASU8! It is a fun throw back knife when CRKT produced some quality stuff.

The Mirage... I had it right there in the recesses of my brain and couldn't quite remember the name. I had one of those, a few Apaches, and a KFF. Good stuff! Nice Spartan too.

Now that I live somewhere that I can legally pocket carry a fixed blade, I am really enjoying doing so. This is my zt566 fixed conversion and I love it. I have a couple of other FB's but this one is going to be hard to kick out of my pocket.

How did you do the conversion?

I ordered an Tops Mini Scandi. I wanted a small, pocket carry/horizontal belt carry fixed blade that would have more of a handguard than the Finnish puukko's or the Enzo necker that I have used in this role. The Tops knife has the edge below the handle enough and the handle is contoured enough to give a secure grip. What can I expect conserning quality and ergonomics?

Quality will be no problem. In my own experience Tops does a good job on 1095. As for ergonomics, I'd expect it would be ok, but that thing would be a 3 finger handle for me. Looks very small.
