Who else EDCs a fixedblade?

Does Candiru come standard with this sheath these days?

It does. You just have to be careful to read the description when ordering because there's still a good amount of new old stock with the old style sheaths out there.

Not a bad sheath for pocket carry.

All the time and it varies. I'll pocket carry the smaller ones or I'll just use a sheath on the belt or witha clip plate between my belt and waisteband.. Mt T.M. Hunt Magua takes the brunt of the carry, followed by my ESEE 3, BK11, and Izulas I & II. I'll throw in a Ka-Bar Mark 1 or BK-17 in the mix to keep things interesting. Below are just some pictures because the internet decrees it.

My brand new T.M. Hunt Foxkit necker. Teck-Lock cross draw. Quickly becoming a new favorite.

Izulas. Pocket carry.

Ka-Bar Mark 1. Stock nylon sheath on my belt, tucked into back pocket. Same deal if I carry my BK-17 in the stock sheath and want to be discrete. Otherwise, I let it all hang out.

ESEE 3. Stock sheath with clip plate between my belt and waistband.

This picture answers what, how, and why I carry most of my fixed blades when walking around, and is also how I generally carry my work knives out of habit.

Gorgeous dog!

I've used a similar set up with my BK10 or BK5 dog walking and woods bumming. What's funny is that I don't feel weird about carrying a larger fixed blade walking the dog around my neighborhood. In fact, I actually feel weird about not open carrying though. It seems like dern near half of my neighborhood OC's out doing yard work and such.

Whetstone39, stop posting pictures. I'm begging you. My wallet doesn't need that pressure.

Lots of clones, but the good old Solingen one is a heck of a good knife.

Good knives always have clones, don't they? ;)

Hanging in the shade today with LT. First day in the 90's this year in my neck of the woods - and it feels hotter than I remember!

One of my favorite summer blades in the Fixed Blade family.

Been totin' it around the last two years.

Steel is H1, excellent for beach/river/sweaty activities I like to do this time of the year

A breeze to sharpen. Bends instead of chipping, so this thin blade is a mean slicer, but by no means a fragile blade.

CAM01444_zpsmiweutjz.jpg

Excellent grind and thickness for food prep or fruit cutting in summer hikes, wilderness dinners and camping

CAM01446_zpsmctn67ga.jpg

Sheath is worth mentioning: multiple angles, positions and rotatory attachment, lashing points and sturdy plastic with nice retention

Made by G.Sakai (makers of Spyderco's Salt Series in Japan), quality, smooth lines, nice shape, fit and finish and great performance.

Handle can be slippy, though, and sheath requires careful unsheathing/resheathing so as to avoid dulling the blade with the plastic

But, all in all, I recommend it as a general outdoors-cooking-rustproof blade

^^ That looks really nice, Peacent - I'm gonna have to check out the G. Sakai stuff.

Today I have another Fiddleback Bushfinger - these are really, really nice, too. Trust me, they're definitely worth trying if you like a medium-fixed-blade-one-tool-option (S30V, btw):

Aye, Peacent, you're making me look at things I don't need and can't afford right now... That blade shape is really really nice and I've come to appreciate H1 immensely through my Aqua Salt.

REK to the rescue. This was in awful shape before, and now you can't even tell the tip had been a rust pocket.

It's my vengeance for losing half the Fixed Blades I wanted to try out on the exchange because you got them first! :D

Nice Applegate, BTW (Read the thread, what a bad impression that would've left me as a customer)

You are really fueling my Fixed Blade addiction lately...I am currently saving up for my next, much expected fixed knife...
