Who else EDCs a fixedblade?

Curious about your thoughts on the deceptor?

- Excellent fit and finish. Grinds are spot on and it is very handsome.
- Best factory sheath I have ever used, bar none. Eat your heart out, Cold Steel.
- I actually enjoy the utility the finger choil ricasso provides, which is basically unprecedented for me.
- I love how slim the overall profile is, but I suspect they could have made it lighter with some creative milling.
- I wish I had bought more at the excellent closeout price I found them at. I paid $13 for mine which is such an absurdly good deal that I feel very silly for not getting 4-5 for gifts and giveaways and backups.

It's the only drop/spear point fixed blade I carry with any regularity. It stands out dramatically against all the tantos, wharncliffes, and daggers that comprise the rest of my assorted fixies. I'm more than pleased with it!

Be it a small neck knife or a big belt blade, a Fixed blade is usually my companion during most days, Summer time even more often

ThePeacent seems to have all five fingers. This incredible. What is that monster subhilt? It's too big to be a BigBear.

Neck knife suitable for cutting sweet potatoes. Check. I kid a little but guys, please do not buy into neck knife carry. If you are in a dust up, you have 360 degrees to search through to find the blasted thing.

Now, a neck-spork-carry is ok, for obvious reasons.

Thanks for the share. I had to look three times.

Excellent price! Even at the ~$20 I paid it was a bargain. Not the best factory sheath I've had but the cost to quality ratio is the best by far. I've paid more money for just a sheath that was worse, let alone a knife and a sheath that is very good. For what it is I am more than impressed. Glad to hear you are on the same page.

I stripped the coating on my Izula 2 and forced a light patina. The sheath is a modified Enzo Elver sheath. I really would like a darker color on the handle, so I might experiment with dye.

Dan,

is it a subliminal message with Reeves in the background? BTW, nice knife!

Thanks buddy. Not intentional but I believe I've placed my Umnumzaan and Sebenzas on the same background ... Those ones were with a not so subliminal message. :D

Got this Boker Bobbi on my belt today. Had to make a bootleg sheath for it.

How does everybody carry their small fixed blades? Pocket, belt, IWB? I tried carrying the Izula 2 (in it's original sheath) on belt with a tek-lok. I did not like it, the the tek-lok felt large, clumsy and uncomfortable. I guess my next move is making straps that fold over the back of the sheath so they can be slipped over the belt. My personal favourite when carrying on belt is on the right side front, handle facing center so when drawn the blade is in reverse grip, edge out.

I still prefer pocket carry with statick cord, this will keep the handle upwards and it is safe to draw and re-sheath.

This picture answers what, how, and why I carry most of my fixed blades when walking around, and is also how I generally carry my work knives out of habit.
