Who else EDCs a fixedblade?

Great looking blade. Nice first post

I can't remember if I've posted it here before. I have in the EDC thread :).

I love it. I've been using it as my main edc fixed blade sice I've purchased it. Kitchen duty to prying fixed load bars out of trailers at work, its been great. KaBar hit the nail on the head with their s35vn too, keeps an edge just like my ZT elmax's. The size is perfect for me and comfortable in all fencing grips. Just need to watch the handle transition to the blade when playing.

Like most production blades, the edge and point was a little thick when I got it. I'm considering sending it for a regrind, just to make it that much nicer. It doesn't need it, but I can only imagine what kind of slicer it could be if the primary bevel met the swedge and thinned out a tad (like a KaBar BK5 /15). The semi-custom sheath it comes with is OK, mine stretched pretty quick from carrying cross draw on my belt. I now pocket carry it in my back pocket. Custom kydex is the next step!

I paid the Canadian price for it (over $200) and wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

Well dang. Looks like I'm buying one of these. I picked up a Boker Plus Collection 2011 fixed blade with the intention of getting a custom Kydex made for it - might as well add this on! Thank you for sharing!

Also, hit someone up stateside if you're being hosed like that. I can get one of these for $112 shipped and shipping to Canada doesn't cost $90...

Sweet, if I'm looking for a second I'll send ya a message ;)

Totally worth the $55. I've actually wanted this one since 2014 but couldn't legally carry it, and then it was just not available when I could. This is almost 1:1 to a design for a custom knife I was going to have made and now all I need is a Kydex sheath.

Just picked up my first fixed blade. The experience was great! Dealing with Brad from Guardian was a pleasure!!
Started carrying this bad boy couple weeks ago and I'm amazed how I forget it's there! The knife came with a screaming sharp and beautifully even edge and the finish is TOUGH!!
Really liking having this bad boy on my belt!!

Yup. I got mine directly from Brad as well.

It's probably the largest fixed I'm willing to carry.

So, here's a question I've been mulling over - has anyone had a Kydex sheath for a Puuko? Is it some kind of sacrilege to not use the weird dong-shaped leather numbers that are traditionally used?

I agree. Kydex for a pukko would be awesome. I'm just wondering what would be used as a retention point on a straight handle designed blade.

(ps. LOL at "dong-shaped leather numbers")

No strap or anything - must be a friction fit. Thank you!

Ah, Big Chris, the only maker I know who can successfully sell a used knife for over $300... That guy can really put an edge on something, too. I sent a knife to him and it came back so ridiculously sharp that I could split a hair while it was on my arm...

Another question: has CKF ever manufactured a fixed blade? I keep seeing this model on knockoff websites but can't find the original:
