Just got back from vacation only to arrive to a GSO 5 in ghost jade G10 waiting for me. Its AWESOME.

Might just flatten the spine other than that it feels really good.
 
My order date was 5/1. It has been a long wait, but have no doubt that it will be totally worth it!

When I get mine, I will be sure to post pics.

I have an order placed in mid June so I'm always trying to piece together where things are at.

That reminds me... SURVIVE! is the only company I follow that is releasing an entire line of new/updated knives, which is a big deal. I know of a couple other companies that released a handful of new models or just one model and there was little to no communication over the span of months and months. A new thread would pop up every so often asking about updates and all the regulars would jump on the guy pretty much saying to stop asking and just wait, it will release when it will release. In true fanboy form, I applaud Guy and Ellie for all their efforts in communication in their various forms.
 
I agree silver, they're not releasing one or two but the entire line then plus some new additions. I too applaud them for trying to go above and beyond to keep everyone informed as much as possible. Their predictions are not on the money. This is why its called a prediction not absolution. I think they're doing a bang up job. I wish I ordered it and it was right on the way, but do I mind the wait. No cause I know Guy is going to give my blade the same attention as the first one and the last one. I prefer the quality of Survive! and don't mind to wait on it. Its well worth it IMHO.

They were, I thought. Guy and I had a misunderstanding when I was doing the last newsletter, while I was away from the workshop. There are some delays with the black canvas and burgundy linen handles. The orders with other options should all go out in the next week.

April 29th and 30th were the big days, after those orders we start skipping through dates pretty quickly. Delivery notifications may seem a bit erratic on this batch, but we are still going in order as best we can.

Oh that explains why my burgundy linen 5 hasn't shipped. Thanks for the info.

Ellie, if you have any extras of other color handles so I can get it sooner? I don't have to have burgundy. Thanks
 
I would be willing to change my handle color in order to expedite the shipping, if it would make a difference. I could live with camo or green canvas micarta, just as well as black.

This. I have already contacted Ellie via Survive website contact form to see if I could substitute my black handles for brown or camo in either canvas or linen micarta.
 
I'm sure it won't be long, heck it sounds like you've waited since April or so what's another week or two for what you really wanted? Not making the choice for y'all but it makes me feel good that every detail is drug through with a fine tooth comb. Guy has a high since of pride in his workmanship and every detail counts. Either that or some serious OCD issues, either way I'm fine with that.
