Jay Maines "welcome home" ,I also carried a Randal model 14 attack. A great knife it's long ago retired and lives a quiet life in the safe. Also had a gerber mk 2 , gave that to my rto when I rotated home, he wanted a good knife because of a previous encounter in which he could have used one, but that's an old war story.... I will have to check out some of your work, can't have too many sharp thing's can we now. mjmcdowell

BurkStar,

I started out in Yongsan working at the Eighth Army Comm Ctr from March of 73 to October (?), then I was transferred to Kimpo at the 4th Signal Group. I stayed there until early 75, when I went to Camp Coiner at the 257th Signal Company.

Then in May 78 - May 79, I was at I Corp HQ in Camp Red Cloud, Uijongbu.

For all of you guys who served multiple tours here in Korea, I feel for you. 2 ID is still going strong in all of it's idiocy. That's one of the main reasons I'm getting out, because I will not come back to this place, and all of the evidence suggests that I would probably end up doing most of my time here.

And for those who have served and retired, thank you for defending in your time so I have the opportunity to now. It's not always very rewarding, but it is worthwhile. Thanks.
