The handle looks very 806-ish and should be nice in the hand.

I'm in for one or two plain edge versions.

Oooh. I like that. That's almost cool enough to make me want to buy another Benchmade.
The blade looks kinda like an AFCK with a swedged hump stuck on top. Nice one.

I'll be passing, weird blade shape coupled with weird handle shape. But then again looks are about as subjective a quality as there is.

What is the functional purpose of that blade profile apart from the remote possibiliy that you can use the top as a thumb ramp? What does it look like closed?

I like the thumb hole and the axis lock but the notch in the blade drives me crazy. Not sure if it bothers anyone else but I get hung up in these on every knife I have with them.

well i wont get one. i would rather get something like a spyderco Ti military RiL. but thats just me.

Dejavoo handle with an axis lock. That's totaly worth looking into. Awesome!

i like it, but "* Blade Length: 4.16"" is much too big for me, i'll wait for the "mini" version !:D

If they took that stupid added hump off the top, the blade profile looks like a cross between a military and a persian... I think it would be cool that way.

Yeah 5.5" closed is freakin' huge. Plus it is assisted opening so I bet it is quite the intimidating beast.

Edit: I like the 'hump' and the swedge. It gives it a unique look.

It's a Bob Lum design, so they wouldn't change anything on the blade. I got to play with a manual proto, it felt great in hand. It was too large though. I don't like that it's an AO.

It's not an AO, just a regular AXIS lock, that was confirmed by Benchmade. Also, the correct blade length on this one is 4.3".
741 Onslaught is based on late Bob Lum's Forester design. If you have any problems with blade shape, look up the original.
Oh yeah, I'm in at least for one of them :D

Well, I think that is one fine looking knife that should be quite comfortable in hand. The Axis lock is just icing on the cake.

The knife has some good features, but:
1. Too much knife for me, will wait for the "mini" and then consider.
2. The "fin" on the top (could) be a no-go, like the one on the CRK, but we will see.

Rx,I'm pretty sure it is assisted opening. That's what's turning me off about it.I like AO,but not with axis.
