Who is going to be buying this baby?

Benchmade pisses me off when they make knives using the Spyderco thumb hole.

Obviously designed off a Chinese sword point and I remember Bob Lum doing several similar designs. Also very close to a folding version of the Marble's Woodcraft. It is a lot more practical design than anything with a tanto point.

The world is full of little knives so why do we need a smaller version of this one? So it isn't suitable for "urban" carry, not all of us live in town. You can carry your P.C Case Peanut and I'll take this Benchmade.

Ultra-Premium Blade Steel?
154cm= kind of nice not "Ultra-Premium Blade Steel"

Looks very close to Lum's Forester design except for the Axis lock. My first Benchmade was the Mini Dejavoo. I'd probably get a Dejavoo before I would get one of these. Love the Axis lock, polished G-10 and handle shape on this one, though. Not sure about the blade shape.

Here come the haters

RxEnergy, I concur, the haters should just put a sock in it. My guess is that since Bob Lum collaborated with Spyderco on several knife designs, the spydie hole in his custom knife designs and the later copies by Spyderco and Benchmade are the result of agreements between all parties involved.

Not hating at all, just can't help but not notice the big round hole spyderco has been using for all their knives for many years now.:eek::eek:
Did you notice that same hole on Bob Lum Original by any chance? Did you even bother to look for it?
NO?! Why am I not surprised...

So what do you think?Looks mean init?:D

Pretty light for a knife that's nearly 10" overall. I would like to get one in hand and see how it feels.

Spyderhole-plus.
Axis lock-plus.
Long blade-plus.
3mm full flat grind-plus.
Swedge-on the fence.

This one looks like a sure winner. May be my first ever Benchmade.

I'd put this as 4th in my "want" list for 2010, with first going to the Spyderco Gayle Bradley, second to a nice FB, 3rd to the Spyderco Manix 2 CTS XHP sprint.

What's MSRP?

It's 2010, if it comes with a lefty friendly clip I'll be all over it. If not then it's another one I'll have to pass on.

I like that it's an Axis-equipped Dejavoo, but the blade shape looks pretty dumb IMHO, and there's no reason for the handle to curve down like that. The hole opener also looks undersized compared to the blade.

Not sure what their design team was thinking on this one, could have been a very nice knife.

Maybe I'm being overly critical, no offense intended to anyone who really likes the knife! Just not my cup of tea, and I loved the looks of the Lum Dejavoo.
