Who makes this Remington Barlow?

You stated better than any Case or Old timer. Than you got defensive and said better than any new run Case and Old Timer. Words have meaning around here. Making a blanket statement like that is going to catch flak around these parts lol.
Yeah, you nailed me. Lurked for years before I popped into this toxic stew of old cranky men. Yeah, I am one too. Proof? Watched the poop shows that have happened over forum knives and anyone that has the AUDACITY to criticize anything GEC or Case. Lives need to happen.

My apologies, my credibility is shot on an Internet forum that is somewhat wanky to say the least.
Don't be sorry- just recognize that your opinion will be met with opposing opinions.
Criticizing the forum that you choose to participate in is a bold move.

Like I said, bold move.

Well, why not go ahead and get on that, thanks.

how about dem french pulls though, amiright?
Here I use lower case f, such that it's less offensive to the French people.

I'm surprised everyone seems to bash a USA made slipjoint barlow. Does the shield look bad yes , but to bash it and you didn't buy it ? I hope Bear and Sons have great success and get better at building slipjoints, bc let's face the music here people there's only 3 factories left in the USA producing slipjoints. Like my mom used to say to me if you don't have anything nice to say shut your mouth.

Hey - I saw all of the negative comments here and still bought one. I don't know who made it - it's made in the US, and I'm just a beginner knife collector and I wanted one. Is it the same quality of say a GEC? No. Does the shield look more like a Saturn VI rocket than a bullet? Yes.

Again - I'm just a novice, but the pins on this knife are flush, unlike 2 Bear and Son knives that I have. And the blades are centered near perfect by my eyesight. And the handles have a tight fit all around. Looks to be a nice knife with the exception of the shield design

I was looking at an online auction site and there are a lot of bullet shields in the past that dont look like anything I would chamber. Thanks for the quick review ron55.

I don't think it's as bad as some people are making it out to be, but that's just my opinion... everybody's got their own.

Since I have absolutely Ø intention of getting one and it's American made, I thinks it's a fine looking knife and applaud anyone for getting one. It's good for the sagging economy.

I ordered a B&S barlow about a year ago. It looked nice with the rosewood covers but it was pure junk. Crappy action, non centered blades, blade wobble, gaps, etc. I wanted to like it since it was made in the USA, but just couldn't. Maybe I just got a bad example.

On the other hand, this 2021 Case is really nice. Snappy blades, no gaps, no wobble and both blades are centered.
