Who needs a SAK Farmer??

I just bought me the ellusive blue farmer, as well as another silver, and another red a few minutes ago. :D

The blue and red are getting hard to find, if you want to get one before the colors are gone, Sierra Trading Post has em in stock in all colors. :thumbup:


A little more then I paid at REI on closeout for the ones I have, but I really wanted another set.

If you havent tried IMO the best SAK around for woods uses, give er a try!!

The Farmer is a great woods tool. I feel like I could get by fine if its all I had.

Bad thing is, once you have one you want all the colors!! Who else feels that way, and has em in all the colors?

I have them in blue and red, great knives. I don't have one in standard silver yet. I just keep carrying my soldier most days. I have an '02 NIB and a '93 with hollow rivet as EDC. The red farmer rides in my possibilities bag and the blue is with it's SAK brothers in the collection.
 
Edit: On second thought, I think I owe it to BF to upgrade to a gold membership. If they're still there after my tax return comes in, I'll get a blue and a red one.

I'm guilty of keeping an unused set of all three colors, plus a couple of users as well. :o

I've already got two silver ones that don't get used much (I prefer using the OH Trekker) so why am I even looking at red or blue versions of the Farmer? Hmmmmmm???
 
I have never given in to getting a farmer.....until now. Might as well get a couple while I can, it's not like I don't have a 60+ SAK collection anyhow :D
 
I got one in red off of the forums here...its my EDC..that and a CRKT beater that I sometimes carry with the Farmer. I have 6 SAK's and 3 are the big ones..they are what I pack into the woods..but the farmer is always in my pocket...I am so used to it, I forget that its there most of the time.
Great little knife...
 
My g/f is getting me one of the farmer/LED light sets on Sierra right now for valentines day present. I left the color choice up to her, but I have a feeling it will be a silver or red one. I can't wait, I love all my other alox SAKs but this is my first farmer.

It's a plain case of SAK mania. Hard to cure, but it can be relieved for ~$20 or so. One dose every couple months works for me and over a few years it will subside. I could open a #$%^ Swiss consulate!
 
The Farmer is an excellent SAK---I have the red and silver models, but have never found the elusive blue at a convenient time.

My new favorite, however, is the Pioneer Harvester---the Farmer, but with the addition of a small hawkbill-style blade. It doesn't get much better than that.

I have the red, and if I had the money I would definately get the other colors. I may get one for my birthday for myself. Although, I doubt I can only buy one...
 
Just wanted to bring this back to light, and tell yall that I just scored me 2 more silvers for a SUPER cheap price. They are out of red and blue, but the silver ones are marked down even further!!

Im so bad. I just cant say no to these things....
 
They are so reasonably priced, and so great to use, it's definitely hard to resist!
 
Haha, wow Jake!! I finally have at least one of each color (2 silver, one red, one blue). Sent one silver as a gift to a friend of mine, put one silver in my GFs belt pouch PSK, EDC a blue one, and have a red one stored away as a safe queen / back-up :D
 
I have a single blue one. I would love to have a set of keepers and a set of users, but flashlights keep stealing all my money.
