Then I've got a little piece of metal moving around making noise or getting in the way on my sheath. ;)

I do have another firesteel, with a couple strikers in my firekit, but it's a lot nicer, and more fun imo, to use the back of the knife. :D

I ordered a CABS, how much longer do you think they will be available? BWM LE was what, 5-6 mths?

I got #84 on the CABS-ride!
I asked about handle options and the reply was "no options".
So my guess is, they'll be "as is".
 
I have a CABS coming, and it is my first Busse knife ever. Lexie(?) tells me that my number is 111. Is that low? high? in between?
Heck, I did not even know they HAD numbers when I ordered. :)

I just ordered because I wanted a hell for stout knife for bumming around in the woods.
 
Anyone heard how long till they ship?? I know I know, 2 weeks, but I figure someone who called in their order might have gotten a bit more info
 
LEs never have options (IME)...

And, there seems to be an unspoken and undefined period during and after a knife release that sending it in for such mods is also difficult/impossible.

Sure, you may be able to get Garth to swap the handles (on a CABS LE for example) many months from now, but for the near-term - it is what it is.

Granted, these are just unofficial observations - but seem accurate nonetheless.

I'm having trouble deciding between the CABS and the LCABS. This will be my first Busse and I have wanted one for quite some time. This knife is also exactly what I wanted as a first from the company.

I was in the same boat. Someone made a very good point though... how often do you get to pick up a Busse with no choil?

I want both. But for now, I ordered the CABS. I'm debating throwing down for the LCABS still.
