Who still carries a Case Knife?

Do you have a preference between the two styles of 6207s? Not surprisingly, they're all splendid-looking knives!!:thumbsup::cool:

I still occasionally carry a Case knife (or several). Since last Monday, I've been carrying Sodbuster Jr (SBJr) and Swayback Jack (SBJ) in Chestnut Jigged Bone and CV steel (thanks to Bob and Paul). I've also been carrying a 6347SS in walnut Rogers jigged bone I bought in December and a EZ 49 CV copperhead (thanks, Steve).

Thank you GT ! I was very happy to find the older 6207 to add to my redbone collection, one that had eluded me for a long time. I like the look of it better than my newer ones, the bone color, the double pinned shield, the great jigging, the roundness, as far as a collector’s knife.

I have and still do consider the newer models to be a fantastic value. The Spey blade secondary is probably more useful, the newer models open easier, a little flatter than the old, but, have my appreciation as a great everyday carry knife.

All of those you showed fit into the great knife for the money, in my opinion ! ☺️

This is a pic from a previous day, but it's what I have with me today, as well. I like the blade combinations, and the color coordination. If the copperhead had been CV, like the swayback, it would have been perfect.

Changing things up for this year. Got a bit comfortable with just the Case Tear Drop in Richlite and the Boker Barlow Expedition as my daily rotation. This year I'll pick a pair for the season.

Spring change-over. Case Pen and Medium Jack as daily pocket rotation with the Alox Cadet.

excellent choice for any season!!!
I like Ike!!!

happen to know if your stacked handle fixed blade is similar to a Buck 102 in size?
That particular one is smaller...
(Be back in a few with numbers)

The Case blade is just past 3 1/8 inches, with an overall length just over 6 1/4 inches.
The Buck 102 is listed as a 4" blade, at 7.75" overall.

Here's the Case next to a Camillus 1006; which is still a good half inch smaller than the Buck 102, overall.

Thanks for your feedback on those 6207 variations, Rob. :)
You sure do have some fine old Case redbones, so I can see why that older clip/pen model "floats your boat"!:thumbsup::cool:
Thanks for the kind words about the Case models I was carrying last week; below I've posted a couple that are on my schedule for this week, and one is a mini trapper. I think you can see from the patina in a photo that I tend to favor using the spey blade. I'm not a fan of full-size trappers, but I definitely like the smaller model.

(On an unrelated note, I imagine you may be feeling some disappointment over the UK Wildcats premature exit from March Madness. I feel your pain, since I had picked them to go all the way in a "prediction contest" at work in which I'm usually competitive. This year, though, I'm in the running for the "deflated basketball trophy" that goes to the participant with the worst performance each spring. :()

Great photo, John! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
Every time I see that distinctive pen blade on the small Texas Jack, it calls out to me. If it weren't for the square bolsters, I'd be on that pattern so fast it would make some vendor's head spin! 🤓

I'm carrying a couple of Case knives this week, both CV chestnut jigged bone. One is a mini trapper and the other is a teardrop.
