Who still carries a Case Knife?

We’ve had those in our back yard the last couple of years. I had to go look it up - I don’t think I had ever seen one before. Somehow the markings look to me like somebody was doing a paint-by-numbers painting and got the numbers mixed up.

Going back to the 2014 OP, I tracked down a Yellow Synthetic Smooth Pen (32087 CV) to restart a youthful always in my pocket partner: the habit. After a month it is working pretty well, as long as transfer is made between pants in reasonable time. No brand honor, it simply met my goals of USA-made, non-stainless, functional and innocuous pocket carry.

It's really little more than a toy, but one with a subtle bite. My first project with it was to shape and sharpen the blade edges to shaving keenness. With my preferred bevels of overall 20 to 25 degrees I won't be buffing rusty parts with the knife. Part of the sharpening task included filing down the tang kick a bit to suck the blade points below the front liner edge. I can stay away from general honing for some time by stropping on leather.
