Who still carries a Case Knife?

Forum rules allow only Bladeforums member dealers to be recommended. I like GPKnives. Case has a dealer list on their website. IIRC, what they call Master Dealers have the biggest selection.

I use 3 in 1 oil on the pivot to keep them clean. Run a paper towel through the channels every once in a while to get the junk out. Usually does the trick. I keep my trappers, which I carry most, in a sheath so that limits the dirt. You can use them for all kinds of EDC tasks. But, they still have limitations so I wouldn't be too hard on them.
 
Actually, the real question might be "Who doesn't carry/use a CASE knife frequently?" The dark answr to that is likely Tactical....:D
 
Time to pull this Case jackknife out and carry it again. OH

I carry this one sometimes. There are 3 blades and 2 springs. The 2 smaller blades use one spring each on one end of the knife. The main (thicker) blade uses both springs, that converge side by side to form a large spring, to support the larger blade. Cool knife though.

What made the russlock your favorite?
 
C cbfordtruck you are asking a question of a member that hasn’t been active in 4 years. From reading your other posts it sounds like you are seeking information about the Case Russlock, I have a couple and they are some of my favorites, my suggestion is carry yours and give it a chance, it’s not a pattern for everyone. For me if it’s not in my pocket it’s in my bag that is close by at all times. I the type that always has multiple knives in my pockets mainly because I enjoy them and they all get use at one time or another. I am in the hunt for another Russlock just trying to decide on which one next.

I have always wondered about the russlock... they just look... I don't know, awkward? to me. They probably are not, at all...
I have been rotating through a couple of sowbellies, one curly oak, the other stag CV, and an 06247PEN for main carry. I also occasionally carry a tribal lock. I have quite a few others, but those are the ones I normally pick to carry, when I'm not carrying a GEC.
My favorite watch-pocket knife is a sway-back jack, two blade. The Gent is nice, too, but I like the extra blade of the jack.

Case is still VERY much in evidence in my daily carry.
 
I just started...I was a Buck/SAK guy and then I got into GECs a few years back. I’ve only owned this pair a couple of weeks and I have been carrying everyday....so far, so good, I like the one handed, utility function of the Russlock and I have the mini-trapper for food and drink;)upload_2020-2-29_10-23-20.jpeg
