I see why you fell in love with that shark! Gorgeous stag!! And what pattern is that case stockman? It looks to be a larger one, closer to the 4" range?I carry this a majority of the days - just bought a new case shark knife a couple weeks ago and it is the most beautiful stag handle shark knife that I have ever seen - just love it - and happy to have it -

Both beautiful, great get. But i'm with ya on the 83.I like them both but I'm especially fond of the 83.
Dan, the two of them are simply perfect, nice examples of what used to be. OHI recently picked up a couple red bone whittlers from the 70s. I like them both but I'm especially fond of the 83.

Thanks! Yes, I like the newer stuff from Case as well, but these older knives from the 70s just have a different feel to them.Dan, the two of them are simply perfect, nice examples of what used to be. OH
Shad have begun their spawning run, some folks have caught them as early as two weeks ago, but I got my first one yesterday - 13” Hickory Shad. Case 6318 SS lending a hand. OH

Some folks eat them (they are like eating Herring) - fry them well done to make the bones pass through your system. I do not eat them. I will keep a few for fresh bait if I am going surf fishing, otherwise I throw them back - I fish because I'm addicted to the tug! OHA little off topic but do you eat them or use them as bait?
Excellent reasonI fish because I'm addicted to the tug! OH
