Who still carries a Case Knife?

I picked up another mini trapper. I really like the pattern and I wanted one in blue. Fit and finish on this example is really good. It's in the pocket today.

Not a company in the business that does jigging as well, or blue bone as well, as Case does it - that is one beautiful pocketknife! OH

You are dead on with regard to the jigging Old Hunter ! And Case has done it consistently from the beginning. I cannot comment on blue knives however, because I do not think I have ever owned a blue knife. It must be time to get one! (Any excuse to get a new knife is fine with me.)

Thank you Old Hunter . I had several that I thought were Red Bone until I was shockingly informed that they were actually Pretty Bone. Live and learn.

Thanks. When I first took it out of the box I thought it could be a little darker at the edges. But it's growing on me.

Thanks! Between vintage Case and GEC, I've got plenty of CS and CV, and I don't mind Case's stainless at all. I can usually get it pretty sharp.

I very much prefer buck and victorinox stainless over case
But I did pick up a full sized soddie in true sharp for the very reason it's delrin and stainless..aka bombproof

I don't own any bucks unfortunately but I agree that Victorinox stainless is pretty darn good.

My buck selection has unfortunately been whittled away ..I am down to a sole 309 and a Frankenstein model created by, and gifted to me by Duane (sitflyer)

I am eyeballing the 55 or the 503 to remedy that

I wanted to see some of the case knives in person and there is a tractor supply about 15-20 minutes away from me... So I took a ride out today.

The display was fairly empty except for a jigged white mini trapper, a yellow peanut and yellow sodbuster... But there was a worn redbone medium stockman in the case and it was a thing of beauty. I might just go back for it.

It was neat to actually see them in real life instead of just pictures on the web. Dangerous to the wallet, though....
