Who still carries a Case Knife?

I have a mini trapper in Buffalo horn and S35VN arriving tomorrow. I checked around and found a place that had one with perfect centering and no blade rub.

Also, I emailed Case and they are getting 60-61 HRC after final tempering. Someone here had said it was below 60, which apparently isn’t the case any longer.

60-61 is right where S35VN should be, kudos to Case!

There was a short thread earlier this week concerning the Case 51 pattern medium Lockback. Pulled mine out and the Delrin is starting to get whitish (this is an old picture). Carrying one for a few days is the best way to clean white Delrin residue in the early stage - so into the pocket it goes. OH

Slim trapper, one of favorite Case's to carry. Always thought it would be cool if they made some of these with pen blade secondaries.

No no! The last episode of Firefly, when the bounty hunter sneaks on to the ship, he knocks out Shephard Book. One of the characters, I think it was Simon the doctor, says "Is that how you treat a Shephard?". The bounty hunter looks at Book huddled on the floor and says "That ain't no Shepard", which suggests the running theme that there's more to Book than meets the eye.

Those are fantastic Ed, what a great pattern. I’m always looking for the older ones, but this one is pretty well made.
