Gorgeous Todd
Decided on a Case Mini-Copperlock, small lockback for today's EDC. OH

Thank you! That is the only one of that blade finish I found at a large dealer when I got it. I agree you, that is my preferred blade finish for SS blades. OHBeautiful copperlock, especially like the blade finish. Wish Case did less high polish blades on more knives than just the workman series
Yes, I completely agree. The blade grind & sharper angles are completely different from their normal offerings. I would love to see them do more like this!Bruce, it looks like a higher grade knife altogether. Is the steel different? The long pull and cut swedge certainly look different . . . and better!
I still carry a Case Sodbuster in chrome-vanadium.
I also have a Case Sodbuster in CV that is insanely sharp and holds it's edge. Just a great pocket sized carry and work knife.that CV steel gets wicked sharp and holds an edge
The crimson stockman looks great
Case's CV or Chrome Vanadium steel is still available, but has changed (I think several times) over the years. Depending on the expert, it has been 1084, 1095 and now 1086, and always with just a smidge of vanadium to refine the edge. Over the decades since WWII it has gotten harder and harder, from the low 50s HRc to now around 58.I wish they still offered the CV steel. Yeah, I know, they claim their CS is just as good but I own their 1095 knives and they don't come close...
Looking forward to it!!When you showed us this knife the other day, I was already looking around. That Caribbean Blue is really something special, and I was in luck earlier today, I'll have to post up tomorrow when the light's good for pics.![]()
