Who still carries a Case Knife?

Four of a kind.

Case 3318CV Stockman.
Looks unused with factory edges. I lubed and dry stropped it before dopping it into my pocket.

I'm going to guess it will be in my pocket for at least a week as I get to know it, and get some patinas started.

EDIT:
12-01-23
Some minor tuning completed:
Filed sheepsfoot kick so the tip is inside the handle (feels much better in hand when using one of the other blades, too. Lowered the tip and spine a good 1/8 inch.) also rounded the sharpening chole on the sheepsfoot and clip blades.
I "had a feeling" a set of diamond mini files would come in handy a couple years ago .... for once I was unmistaken.
"Someday" ... either this year or next ... whenever I get bored and have "nothing better to do" ... I'll thin the edges and reporofile the three blades to 10 DPS/20 degrees inclusive.

Cool Case my friend! One of my favorite stockman. The overall size, it's rounded bolster and that slicey main blade are just right. Enjoy. :)

Do any of our resident Case experts know anything about the 2010 run of Second Cut Red Stag? The pattern number begins with “R,” which I assume stands for Red. This one is stamped R5318. I have seen a few other patterns with the same Red Second Cut Stag. I assume they were a SFO for someone, but do not know for sure. The shield is also different and not something I have seen on any other runs. This one is snappy and well made. No blade rub, but I am sure that will change as I use it! The jigging is extremely well done. I would have thought it was natural Stag. I do not know if they were trying to make it look like Red Stag from the XX era, but there certainly is a resemblance.

That one is a beauty Jeff, B blackmamba
Is it Second Cut Stag? It looks like First Cut to me! Remember, my 18 is jigged to look like Natural First Cut Stag.

I thought about you Bruce Old Hunter Old Hunter when I got this one. Will Power Will Power , Bruce is the one who has gotten me interested in 18’s! I love the way they carry in the pocket.

Case 6318 stockman, 1095 carbon steel. I picked this one out at smkw, the action is wonderful with minimal blade rub. It’s a fantastic little knife.

I see a lot of the 18 pattern being shown lately and no surprise, it's a wonderful compact Stockman but a serious pocket-knife as well. I feel I could do with another stainless one but which scales to go for? I have a well-loved Amber Bone stainless, Bonestag 6.5 cv and Red Jigged carbon (thanks to Leslie Tomville Leslie Tomville for the helping hand there) but fancy a newcomer, suggestions gratefully received

Some that are currently in production and that I think look nice:
Pocket Worn® Peach Seed Jig Mediterranean Blue Bone
Rogers Corn Cob Jig Antique Bone
Smooth Antique Bone

I’m fond of a couple 18 pattern knives that have stainless blades, I have a couple on my radar currently.

My wife bought me one of these while we were still dating but I lost it when it fell out of my pocket at a restaurant. I really liked it and I’ve been meaning to get another one, but I suppose it wouldn’t be the same. I keep hoping she will surprise me with another one.

I think the black shield looks great with the darker yellow oak wood. I’ve seen photos of the Small Swell Center Jack with these covers and it looked really good, rich.
