Who still carries a Case Knife?

Came by this in not such a good way.
As I understand it belonged to my wife's late maternal grandfather. It became mine Friday morning of Thanksgiving week. I did not.know Case made such a small fixed blade. It will not be carried but has been placed with other mementoes from mother in law.
I hate the way you had to obtain it. I know the feeling, I inherited my grandfather's f100 in a similar way. I loved the truck but it's not the way I wanted to receive it. I'm sorry for your family's loss, I hope you & your family are doing well.

P.S. On a better note, That is a pretty amazing old blade, I bet it has plenty of stories it could tell 👍

Sorry for you and your family's loss. I hope you all are doing ok as well.
Thank you. Mom is no longer sick or suffering so that eases the sting.

I know my wife's granddaddy was a huge outdoorsman. He, as we all do, lived on or near lake Erie and was always hunting, fishing and trapping.
The case was paired with a larger Queen steel. I know those two have some stories to tell.

Thanks, I appreciate it. We are doing ok. It was hard at first but it's gotten better with time. My grandfather was an electrician, all around handyman & hot-rodder. I posted the truck a few weeks ago on another post along with a couple of his work knives.

I can't speak for everyone but I for one would love to see that old Queen of you're able to post it sometime 😉

Glad everyone is doing ok. Glad it has gotten easier. Time does help. I recall the truck and knives. Old school with vent windows and manual cracks on the main windows.

It's about 3 am here but since it's dark for 20 hours a day in Dec-Jan it's very hard to keep track of real time...bunker  But I'll be getting this Chestnut Bone Sodbuster out sometime later today. It's excellently finished and bought sight unseen on the net. Have a good day...whenever that is😆 But most days are somewhat good if it has a CASE in it!

Those short hours of light sounds like Alaska. Not sure if I could handle it long term

The bone and patina are fantastic on that one! I’m a chestnut fan, especially when the dye is nicely done like yours. Not a bad substitute for sunshine.
