Thanks! Yes the chapter is umami, just reading up on tips to improve. Not necessarily for anything at the moment, just getting ideas for the next dish. I'd welcome any ideas, I love experimenting with new stuffThat's a handsome knife! Is your cooking topic things that are umami/savory?
If you are looking for a umami recipe suggestion, a good slow simmered Bolognese sauce is great. Another umami direction could be a chicken Tikka Masala. Thanks! Edit: Clarification/correction.
Really easy recipe. Meat cooked dry in a slow cooker/crock pot on low heat for up to 8 hours depending on the cut of meat. Develops really intense flavour, and the meat just falls apart. Not necessarily for anything at the moment, just getting ideas for the next dish. I'd welcome any ideas,
Oh yeah, that's a classic, especially for meal prep during the week!Really easy recipe. Meat cooked dry in a slow cooker/crock pot on low heat for up to 8 hours depending on the cut of meat. Develops really intense flavour, and the meat just falls apart.![]()
I love a good slow simmered sauce! I'll have to try making Tikka Masala one day. I haven't made much Indian style food. Not much experience with it, need to change that!If you are looking for a umami recipe suggestion, a good slow simmered Bolognese sauce is great. Also if you are looking for more reading material, there is a flavor thesaurus book by Niki Segnit I have been reading that is pretty good.

How do you like that teardrop? I have been looking more and more at those. It's a shame they have only made a couple in CV or CS.
It is a real pocket/hand friendly knife. I have a few and like them alot. How do you like that teardrop? I have been looking more and more at those. It's a shame they have only made a couple in CV or CS.

Not my favorite pattern but if they make it in yellow delrin I’m inDidn’t carry this one today, I have never carried this one, bought it along with several other Case Brothers patterns with the Federal shield and nice but non-standard Case jigging when they were available some years back. I forgot about it until the 2024 Case Vault pocketnife was introduced in another thread. Thought I would post it here too. OH

Are you saying the Urban Lumberjack set is now buying and carrying Case Knives? If I understood you that is what I got out of it, then that is good, someone is going to have to keep Case going when all us Geezers move on to the happy hunting ground! Which Case do you carry? OHHipsters are! Well, in at least one case. Classic silly-man, 40s, long hair, probably can't change his own oil, and when he had a reason to pull out his knife he smiled and I felt like he was feeling his b&%$@ drop.
It's only one example, so maybe an anomaly. But it did make me think that maybe some blog or you tuber is convincing millenials to buy traditional 3-blade knives. Well, okay. Enjoy.
Idk, I couldn't make much out of it either. It sounds like it was a post meant for another thread....Are you saying the Urban Lumberjack set is now buying and carrying Case Knives?
