I don't even notice it. It's never damaged a pocket, either.

Honestly that’s good to know. I’ve looked at the Russlock many times because I really like the blade shape but often wondered how comfortable/uncomfortable it would be to pocket carry.

I guess the Russ is too modern to be called traditional. Or is it?

It's one of my favorites, regardless.

Another Russlock fan here. It has an opening tab (like most friction folders) and a liner lock (like many other traditional knives) so it is not too modern. It just took me some practice to get used to a smooth one-hand open, and the motion and starting position is kind of counter intuitive, but once you get the knack, nothing to it.

The pattern number is 6231 1/2. It’s about the size of a GEC #78 which is the perfect size for a traditional in my opinion.

Whoops 6231 1/2. My bad. All these numbers. Between GEC and Case it’s hard to keep track of what’s what.

Same here. I saw the pic above and was immediately looking for what pattern it was, couldn't find anything, then realized the next post down had the info. Apparently it is called a torpedo jack. Such a nice looking pattern.
