Who still carries a Case Knife?

Today's companion while wandering.

Not many decent snapshots today, wind messed with focus on most of the insect photos. Able to snag a few.

BEAUTIFUL shot of the 🐝 I tried the same yesterday with iPhone 14 outside my office but only captured one in semi-decent focus: bottom third slightly left of center.IMG_7405.jpeg

That’s a beauty! How’s the quality with Case these days?
Improving. I have talked with some Case employees and they say they have been making changes to be more consistent with their quality. And I feel like I am starting to see it. My last 6 or so have been perfect. With the exception of sharpening. They still can't sharpen a knife. I just don't get it. Just about every other knife maker gets their knives sharp. Why can't Case? It doesn't bother me because I always put my own edge on my knives. But you should be able to take a brand new knife and cut paper with it.. But the fit and finish has been great.

Thank you! New to me this year. It is from 1974-5. Incredible smooth yellow bone on it. CV with zero patina so obviously someone had it in box in a drawer.
50 years old, amazing!

Thanks for the thorough reply. I would love to see them step up their game to get on par with GEC. Would love to have an American alternative.
