Who still carries a Case Knife?

I still carry a Case knife, at least one every day. This week I've been carrying 3 Case knives.

Mini copperlock with quad-lined bolsters, walnut Rogers jigged bone covers, and a custom shield (thanks, Greg):

Chestnut jigged bone CV Sodbuster Jr., won in a GAW sponsored by the late Bob BigBiscuit BigBiscuit (one of 4 knives I carry EVERY day):

After quite a bit of edge work and tip repointing this peanut cuts pretty good now, just sad that it arrived exactly as I was expecting from them…

Here’s how rounded the tip was and the edge bevels were undulating up and down so it took a while to get the bevel into one plane

And here it is afterwards

Excuse my ignorance but can someone explain to me why the main blade is carbon but the sheepsfoot is marked SS. Does SS not stand for stainless steel? Maybe Case used multiple steels in this pattern commonly. I’m not up on my Case knowledge at all.

Looks like a factory "oops" to me. Both Sheeps Foot and the "Spey"/Budding/Grafting blade are ss.
My guess is a cc/cv blade got mixed in the batch/bin of clips that cuttler was working working from.

I do not believe Case mixes True Sharp and cs/cv on the same knife intentionally.

I do not know if you are the original owner.
"B u is, or B u isn't" Does not matter. Either way, the original purchaser probably chose it because it has stainless blades.
I wonder ... Since it is a manufacturing defect, if Case would replace that cv/cs clip point with the correct ss clip point under warranty?

I prefer carbon so I’m happy with it.

Is it possible that the clip blade is stainless but just stained? I know how silly that sounds but I think it might be possible.
