Who wants a blue Para 2 with M390?

I'm in. Bit expensive, but a great knife and a great steel.

THANKS

Sage 3 was more recent...Manix 2 was made in Golden...read the tea leaves as you wish... :D Or, pick (C), neither of the above? ;)

It's basically the same price as the S90V and CF version and about $45 more than the gray. They can keep it for that price. If I want to pay inflated prices I will go to the secondary market.

I'm in. Was there, trying to decide if I wanted a digicam S30V or newly price-increased gray 20CP for my new EDC slicer - to complement my recent Tan M4 Manix2. M390 priced to split the difference is perfect. I hope the blue comes out nice and dark (or, at least, like denim), but won't hold my breath since most of Spydie's blue has been rather bright. No matter - I don't have anything in blue yet. Now it's just a waiting (wanting?) game...

M390 is an imported steel (Germany?) It is also an expensive steel to begin with, which drives up the cost.

It might be a pricey steel but it shouldn't come close to S90V and carbon fiber. Spyderco isn't charging too much, the store is. Just look at their prices on other knives. I feel like they charge too much for an online store and I'm not going to reward them with my business. If everyone else doesn't feel the same way that is fine.

Well, if they sell all of them - which they will - then its hard for me to say that they are charging too much.

Is there a serious margin at that price? Almost certainly. But a year from now or in 5 years, I'm going to have a sweet, blue limited edition Para 2, and I'm not going to miss that $50 above what MSRP "should" have been, you know? And if I get buyers remorse some day, which is not likely, I can almost assuredly get my money out of it. So I'm groovy with it.

The only potential problem I see is if Spyderco releases too many Sprint runs, which would dilute the coolness of owning and using one.
