Who wants a blue Para 2 with M390?

I ordered one a few days ago. I don't much care for the blue scales but M390 is simply one of the most awesome stainless steels I've ever used. I've been using it in the M390 Mule which btw was recently tested to be ~61 HRC which is good news for this forthcoming M390 P2. I actually prefer it to CTS-20CP which is also a great stainless (basically an S90V clone). I find it very easy to put an edge on M390 that feels very much like a great carbon steel edge, except the edge retention and toughness are much better, and of course, it's highly corrosion resistant.

So . . . while I agree BBS is a bit on the expensive side, I simply am dying to have a P2 (which is my favorite knife platform), in M390 (which is my current favorite stainless steel). So I'll hold my nose and pay the price and I'm sure the knife will be absolutely awesome (even if I end up disliking the blue enough to have to swap the blade with my black G10 P2).
 
i have heard great things about M390, and im currently making handles for the 2 MULE knives i bought with that steel. can't wait to use it...
 
After reading this thread and the one on the spyderco site, I noticed lots of people requesting dark or navy blue.. this includes me too. Maybe one guy said he would rather have smurf blue, everyone else said dark blue.....SAL, IF BENTO ORDERED SMURF BLUE, IGNORE THEM AND MAKE IT DARK BLUE, PLEASE!!!:D

Is this a limited run or will it be an ongoing product for that store ? I notice they still have a reasonable price listed on the M4 Manix2.
 
With the M4 Manix I believe it was initially one limited run of a certain number with an option for the vendor to order a second run. I don't recall if the vendor could keep ordering additional runs beyond those two. Whatever it was, I would assume a similar arrangement was made for this new dealer exclusive model.

I am of the impresion that the tan manix 2 in stock is whats left of the original 600. Being a CONUS only exclusive I am not suprised. When the last are sold that should the end of the model.

They shipped my Manix M4 to Hawaii no problem so I wouldn't say it was a CONUS exclusive. I don't get what the problem is that so many sellers have with shipping to Hawaii. I think they just copy other peoples "CONUS Shipping only" without thinking about it. Priority mail doesn't cost any more to Hawaii than it does from California to NY.
 
I have to make other arrangements because this happened the last time I tried. LOL, a bit unreasonable if I must say so. :p

That was what I was getting at in my post a couple up. I am up in Canada. I got the same message when I tried to purchase a M4 Manix 2. Kind of a cheeky way of saying will ship to US buyers only. Even if they changed thier shipping policy some time in the future to allow international shipping I think they already lost one potential customer.

lol - smurf blue would be cool. if a cop ever questioned you, you could just say it's a toy

Hoping Spyderco doesn't do a Sprint with M390 and diff. handles(CF) after I pre-order Bento's dealer exlusive Blue M390.:D
 
that would suck if they release another m390 para 2 in either CF or titanium... i would not be happy
