my gateway knife is probably my ontario rat 1. Then I went off to get the utilitac 2, a spyderco tenacious, kershaw blur s30v, buck 110, kershaw cryo g10, spyderco paramilitary 2 and a crkt hootenanny

Please contact me at danflys at gmail dot com, and I will get the knife out to you.....If the knife has not been claimed by Tuesday the 14th I will generate a new random number for a new winner. I enjoyed reading about everyones collection and their gateway knives. A new GAW will begin when I get back to Germany, I am going to go back up to Solingen and pick up a Boker for a GAW so be on the look out! Thanks for all who entered.

For me the knife that got me to want to get into knives was the movie stand by me and christine. They both featured black handled sideopening autos. If I remember it was a rizzuto in both films. After seeing both movies at incredibly young ages (parents edited out the sex and language) I was obsessed with knives. HORRIBLY obsessed. My parents thought I was a sociopath obsessed with "weapons". Then one day my dad just asked me why I liked knives so much and if I wanted them to hurt people. And I explained how I just thought they were cool. Especially switchblades. My dad talked to my mom and the next day we were at ace hardware picking out my first POS. And that led to many POS down the road.
