Iron Man, Batman, and Spiderman. Product of the 80s and they were on tv the most. I wasn't a big comic book buying guy. Most of my early cash went to baseball cards.

I was also a huge fan of the GI Joe cartoon of the 80s.

Favorite hero=Frank "The Punisher" Castle.

Favorite books to read the Predator series including AVP and the Batman Vs Predator series (except the third one)

Favorite villains=The Joker and Doomsday.

Captain America, hands down. The current run written by Ed Brubaker is the best series in the Marvel U.

Captain America was indeed at the top of the heap! But also, like others have said, the Punisher was just too cool:cool: I was about 13 or so when he first started having his own little 3 or 4 book runs before he became a permanent title. I still have all of my Punisher books up in the attic, and that's one of the few things other than my knives that are hands off for the kids:D

If I recall, the Punisher was loosely based on Don Pendleton's novel character Mack Bolan. Back in the early eighties with the cold war in full swing, those books were a blast to read:thumbup:

My favorite superheroes (as a kid in the '60s and '70s) were:

The Incredible Hulk
Spider-Man
The Fantastic Four
The Mighty Thor

My favorite comic-book villains were:

The Abomination
The Wendigo
Dracula (from Tomb of Dracula)
The Rhino
Galactus
Blastaar

Jim

I liked Batman and the Punisher the most because they were humans that didn't have special superpowers. They used their intelligence and special weapons to fight crime.

I was always a big Batman fan, accumulated a lot of comics, especially X-men. Wolverine naturally, but I prefer stories about Logan, his alter ego (check out Weapon X by Barry Windsor Smith). Right now, Hellboy is one of my favorites.

How dare you not include the Frito Bandito in your list of all time favorite super heroes!!!
I loved the Frito Bandito! I even had him on top of all my pencils in school, to help me during a test or home work and such! He was such a good friend!! Plus I got to eat gobs of Fritos corn chips cause of him! Ummmmmmm baby! Then all of a sudden, he just disappeared! I don't know where he went, the same place all super heroes go I guess.
Via Condios my friend!

Hmmm, this kinda reminds me of the Dominos' Pizza Noid!
Well, that's another story for another day.

I loved Marvel comics when I was a kid. My favorites were probably Thor, Wolverine and maybe the Vision.

Of course, my all time favorite from D.C. was Matter Eater Lad. His power? He could eat anything. Seriously.

I guess I will be the first to mention Vampirella
I had the original #1 back in the day (1969?), but it and all the other 60's era comics were destroyed in a leaky storage shed after I moved away to college.
(Others that were lost include Batgirl #1, Silver Surfer #1 and the first appearance of SS in Fantastic Four comics.)
