Who Would Be Interested In Doing A Collaboration Classic Hunter With Me??

Michael, don't feel like you have to get into anybody's hurry. Stake it out and take your time as you see best. I will email you my address for the cut-off but whenever you decide to cut it off is fine by me. When I get it I get it. No problem.

Things are rolling along. When you think of it Sean has finished his part. Nick his too and sometime before real long Dave will have a blank to grind and I will be heat treating and working on ivory scales, and so on through Dan's major handle work and Steves hand finish. One thing at a time and it will be at Bruce's for etching and Dan K. will be making a cert.. Jay should make the sheath before final blade finish.

It is also essential to me to remind us that Dan has been working on this project as it unrolls. His on-going documentation and a willingness to help in final documentation adds much to our final knife.

Sounds good -- I was about to ask you for your home address and the address of the person I send the blank to. (I have to check back and see who that is. :D )

Mike
I'll need it before the handle taper and any heat treating is done.
once (you do)the profiling is done I can place the holes, then send it off to Dave to do the grinding then whenever, back to me for the
Handle fit. it's being done this way because Roger is full heat treating it..Tang and all.:) so it looks like it's coming to me.

you should have my address on the last e-mail I sent you, if not
let me know..

Got it -- thanks for the help in that last e-mail too. I've scouted a flea market and found a good compressor. :D

Roger, if you get a chance PM me your address. (I'll be away from my e-mail in about 10 minutes.)

WHOOPIE!!!

And away we go!

Alright Nick!!! Michael and Dan, could you guys "collaborate" a bit and get a pic of the pattern out on Dan's site? I'm just freaking out to see this!

Just a Kid
Dave

Dave a Picture of it is on the site now...:D
it's the only one I have right now.:)

I'll take more once it gets here.

Beautiful! Man I can't wait to get my hands on that beauty. Thanks Nick, that is fantastic. I'm just praying I don't slip... :o

Michael, sorry; I'll get you my address tomorrow evening. Been busier than a one-armed paper hanger these past few days.

Just wanted to update everyone. I've been busy, and I'm sorry for the delay on my part -- I'm get my end done ASAP. :(

Michael. DON'T FORGET my remnant. Assuming the bar is about 12 inches in length I'll need all the cut off and in one piece. I want to do several different HT samples before cooking the real thing. Thanks pal.

RL

any up dates guys??
when I get this, I want to spend some time with it too you know..:) :D

excess piece has been sent to Roger -- blank coming your way soon. :D

If you guys need handle material I have some cherry, black walnut, and some maple (needs spalting), and may have some birds eye maple coming soon.

If you would like any of this stuff let me know and I can ship it off fairly quick with exception of the birds eye stuff.

Forget the email addy in my profile. It is too clogged up with spam. Use this one.

If you are interested in any of this for any other projects let me know. I have lots of the black walnut, maple, cherry, oak, and Imay have access to some poplar too.

I don't have access to the super expensive stuff, but good southern hardwood I got plenty of.

Lemme Know
