Thanks Dan and I received the tracking number in email today. John informs me that the jade liners and scrap pieces are being sent to me this Friday. I am cocked and locked.

I have the best job on this project knife..."The Overseer" I dont have to do hardly anything. You guys are great to work with. Very proffesional! I cant wait to see this masterpiece. :cool:

Im not trying to get out of work but how do you all feel about a small stencil with no names on it. It could say something like "Collaboration 2004" We could put all the names on the certificate? I think there are too many names and will need to put some on each side and will spoil the beauty of the damascus.
 
That's not a bad idea. I think it would need a name though like "Hunter Collaboration" (except more creative :D ).
 
or, if we know the name of who the proceeds will go to, we could incorporate that into it. :confused:
 
I'm with you, Bruce.

It seems a shame to cover that damascus with names. It will detract from the overall look of the knife - majorly. Enough names to cover both sides of the knife blade!? That is a bit much.

I also like the idea of a simple 'logo'.

"Collaboration 2004" Sounds good to me.

I like Roger's "Collaboration Hunter 2004" too. In the knife supply catalogs I've seen gold and silver stuff you can fill etching and engraving with. It's used for firearms too. What about using something like that?

So We all agree on Collaboration Hunter 2004? If yes I will get the stencil coming. I can plate the letters with my gold plating setup i think.
 
Dan's shipment is awaiting my pickup at the local post office. I was on the road today and upon my return I retrieved the mail man's notice from my mail box. Will have in my hot little hands tomorrow. Expect John's jade liner work to arrive next week.
