Who would you take with you?

jtr357,

George Washington, Albert Einstein, Jim Morrison would make one interesting conversation :)

My Partner in all things for for the last 40 years this month, My wife. Life is good when you marry your best friend.

QUOTE]

OK, now that your wife left the room, who would you really bring?:D
Just kiddin, that is awesome, I wish my wife enjoyed the outdoors as much as I.

I would like to hang with Wild Bill Hickock, pretty sure he would have some interesting stories to share.

Probably one of the revolutionary fellows, Tom Paine, Ben Franklin. Seems like (in my little head) we'd get along real well.

In reality I'd probably be my girlfriend, tons of fun.

i would also have to say my misses... she kicks a$$...:D and maybe nesmuk too..

Interesting replies, but I'm thinking it would be more interesting if you picked two, for 2 different scenarios - one because of their backwoods skill/knowledge and how they would relate to what you were doing and the knowledge they could share, and one for any other reason, Salma Hayek for example. JMO, of course.

My pick? Paul Campbell, author of Survival Skills of Native California/ Larry Dean Olsen/Jim Riggs/ Ray Mears/Ron Hood/John McPherson/Tim Baker/, etc., etc., - no, I couldn't pick. :(

Les Stroud and Jenny McCarthy. For the two reasons DOC put forth above.

I like Jenny and all, but when your done with your intended purpose of her you have to gag her or to shut her up.
I think Jessica Biel would be a better choice for me!

If it was the real deal and the character could be real:

Major Joseph Makatozi (Joe Mack) - He is a test pilot in the United States Army Air Force. He is a Sioux, Native American; one grandfather was a Scotsman. From the book, this guy could do everything! (From the Last of the Breed by Louis Lamour)

If it was for the “hanging with the big guys factor” around the camp fire:

Theodore Roosevelt, Ernest Hemingway, Douglass MacArthur, & Robert E. Lee
(Everyone should know who those guys were. All were excellent woodsmen too.

The other Military Guys

John Joseph Pershing: http://web.mit.edu/c12abn/www/pershing.shtml

Admiral Alan B Shepard, jr. : http://www.achievement.org/autodoc/page/she0pro-1

Capt Francis Gary Powers: http://www.arlingtoncemetery.net/francisg.htm

Colonel James Nicholas Rowe; http://www.arlingtoncemetery.net/jamesnic.htm

Each one of these men was a Leader among Leaders, a very brave man, a recognized War Hero and an honorable man.

Note: Hemingway spent four separate tours in Spain as a war correspondent and was there for nearly eight months during 1937 – 1938.

That is my list.

OMT

My Dad and his Dad...both long gone now...but they would make the best company I could think of. Gene

I would also bring the entire maxim hot 100 list, for obvious reasons. :D

Well since Jesus is always with me  the other people would be my best friends & my life ;)
