Who's Drinkin'?????

It's pliny day at the Bistro! I'll let you non-beer drinkers google it. Aside from some younger, we ate some fresh caviar I made myself! And if you look closely, that's my AMS in-pocket sheath (thanks condos leather!) in my right pocket I carry everywhere, so it's forum appropriate!

Whoa, sturgeon? That's huge! Nice catch!
Only on this forum is it ok to ask, "is that an AMS in your pocket?" :D

Nice catch jsax...

The left coast has some great craft beer! Caviar.... meh. Around here we call it 'bait'. Although I've heard it's edible when fried. :D

.

John J Bowman, here. Thought it was going to be an early night...but I'm still awake; so I'm still pouring.
I'm apparently not drinking fast enough; because I've been cruising the Exchange, the 'Bay, and various other sites for a few hours & still haven't purchased anything.

Kickin' back with some original Coor's & Papa Murphy's pizza. It's not glamorous but I like it, & it saves more $ for more Busse's :)

Speaking of not glamorous, I was cleaning out my cabinet and poured the rest of some Old Grand Dad into half a bottle of Heaven Hill someone left after a party. I'm actually liking it  :D

It's gonna be Southern Host tonight. Kinda like Southern Comfort but 100 proof for $11.45, hell yeah!

I'm still hanging out on the bottom shelf. I have plenty of "good" stuff too, but having cleared out my well bourbon over the last few days I just cracked open a $14 bottle of Evan Williams. A little hard to guage b/c I have cold, but it's not half bad.

Picked up some "Tin Cup" whiskey the other day at Costco for $20 / 750ml. Pretty good stuff!

It claims to be a "Colorado" Rye whiskey, but that's a bit misleading. It's distilled and aged in Indiana, then shipped to CO where it's cut to 84 proof with "pure Rocky Mountian water" and bottled at the Stranahan's distillery. The guy that started it is the same guy that started (and sold) Stranahan's, but that's about as far as it goes.

I will say, it's one of the best rye whiskeys I've had for under $35 per bottle. Really smooth, and a nice flavor profile. It's normally around $30 - $35 at most regular liquor stores, so I'm hoping Costco continues to sell it. Might just be my new favorite sippin' whiskey! :D

Johnnie Walker Green.
Not bad, but what's with the screw cap and built-in pourer spout?

Back when they had "The Star Trek Experience" at the Las Vegas Hilton, I stopped by Quark's bar and picked up a bottle of Klingon Blood Wine. It's actually a fairly decent wine.
