Who's Drinkin'?????

Let me know how the Tequila +Dew goes . I have had one illness after another since Christmas! Anybody with kids goes through this. But I can't shake the upper respiratory thing.

My Grand Mother, Rest her soul, would dose all her kids with whiskey, or variants thereof.

My step-dad had his own remedy:
Hot TANG and JIM BEAM
When I asked him about the TANG thing his response was, " It must be good for you, did you ever see a sick astronaut?" And I never have. True story

The tequila Fresca thing sounded good.

Truth be told, because of some meds I take alcohol is not a part of my nutritional pyramid.

So this thread is one where visiting is like looking at pictures in a high school year book. You wish you could go back and be a part of it, and you can remember the smells and sounds and tastes just like they happened a minute ago.

Anyhow, tonight I got all of you guys beat, HANDS DOWN!

Did you ever try a shot of EQUATE BRAND Night time COLD & FLU / Cherry flavor? Wow! Just a couple tablespoons and not only are you ready for last call, but all of your, stuffy fever achy head, choking coughing fever so you can collapse makes you feel so much better. AND it's
MEDICINE! So it has that going for it!

Does all your $9.00 a bottle whiskey get recommended by some doctors out of one hundred?

Ta-dee-flipping-da! All we need for a party is a forty of CRAZY HORSE OR... THUNDERBIRD! !!!!!!

Thank you CHAIN WHIP! Your kindness is greatly appreciated! Urgent Care Clinic says no pnuemonia yet, but they put me on meds anyway along with nebulizer treatments.

Thanks again! You know how come they call it MAD DOG 20/20? That's because when you take a slug or two ,
suddenly you see the whole world clearly...20/20!

Sittin with a Sam Adams watching Star Wars: A New Hope. Doesn't sound too exotic, but in my neck of the woods (Edinburgh) Whisky (notice the spelling, gents) falls from the sky and a good brew is hard to come by! I'd give just about anything for a Dogfish Head 90 or 120 minute IPA.
 
My wife snatched the drink before I could get a shot but here's a little twist. Drink tonight is a salt air Margarita, recipe is from the establishment where rcb2000 works. His boss happens to be one of the best chefs in all of North America and not just the U.S. But here's a shot of the aftermath.

Sage and rosemary brined pork, Korean style marinated broccoli and apples pan seared in brown sugar and mezcal on the side. The foamy stuff on the left is this crazy concoction that hits your nose and palate with salt and lime flavor which floats on top of a basic cointreau based Margarita. All in a pretty interesting culinary drink!

My wife and I found an awesome Meadery in Colorado and bought about 6 bottles to bring home. Vikings did it right!!!
 
Bourbon & bacon....

Jim Beam, essence of Bacon, bitter, Maple syrup, slice of orange, couple of slices of bacon (cooked, of course).... Ice. Most of the bacon was eaten by the time the pic was taken.....

 
Really, looks interesting. I have never tried something like this. Bacon makes everything taste better lol

THIS guy needs a drink!!

Moms out of town so I was in charge of:
Getting two kids ready for picture day,,,
Went to the courthouse to apply for my CC permit.
Changed the oil in my car.
Made dinner, got kids fed, and in bed.
Won a guess thread.
Ordered a Trash 2.

Gotta say it was a good day..
