You post an Australian beer, with a knife Designed by a German? Oh, snap.

Let's explore more issues with this photo. Australian beer, German knife designer, American made. More importantly, beer is unopened, no condensation on can (indicating improper chilling) and now a fresh hole in counter that will surely need explaining.

I like the look of the BK2. It stands out , in my opinion much more then the BK7 or BK9. Plus it isn't so expensive that I would not be able to replace it if it was lost. I just wish it came with a polished blade.
So I bought one.

just strip it and polish it yourself. takes a bit of time and effort but pays off in the end :)

Okay here we go.

Love fosters simple, Just pulled the beer from the fridge you can see the moisture still on it, if my wife gets attitude about the hole in the table
I will donkey punch her in the vagina..... J/K

Please do not tell my wife I said this or I might not be a man in the morning

Now my day is COMPLETE...

I laughed so hard I almost rolled over my foot with my chair. If these words even escaped my mouth even in casual man conversation and was overheard by my wife of Italian descent, it would be quite possible that IF I woke up I might find the head of an animal next to me.

Now, as to the question at hand, why Becker?? My response would have to be because these knives speak to me every time they get used. They shout "Get 'er Done"!!:D:cool:

I went all out when i got my first Becker and got the BK9.Since then i have acquired the BK14 and the BK2.I use to be a Rat/ESEE fan but now im a diehard Becker dude all the way! It makes me sick when a friend says ''whats a Becker?''

Here is my list of reasons.

1. Because they are reasonably priced.
2. They are great quality. ( full tang, 1095, great handle design)
3. Like it says, “Knives That work for a living”.
4. They are built for serious use. ( form follows function)

In their price range, they are king!!

Is there a price range they are not king? None that I know of. Though I have knives that cost ten times as much as my Beckers. I may venture to say some are as good as my Beckers, but I can not honestly say any of them are better if I am comparing apples to apples

To be totally honest I bought my first Becker without any thought to use in mind. I was at a gun show and just wanted a big ass cool looking knife. I had the decision narrowed between the BK7 and a Ka Bar utility knife. The camillus BK 7 was priced reasonably and felt better inthe hand. So off I went with it just to show it off. The first time I ever used it was actually about six months later to clean a hog for Christmas with my uncle. It handled very nicely, was comfortable and stayed sharp. I then began carrying on outings with my son on boy scout camp outs. I thoroughly enjoyed the knife then they came out with the 2 which I bought and it just excretes confidence. Then when I found that the 9 had slimmer handles and was faster in the hand with a little more reach and leverage for chopping I had to have one. What started as just wanting a knife to show off ended up being 3 different blades that have cleaned hogs, split wood, prepared many a dinner, quartered chicken, ridden as protection in SC swamps where no gun was allowed and has broken up tons of ice with he pommel for the vodka sessions. I find Beckers to be highly functional blades at prices the average working man can afford. Thanks Ethan.

I love my BK-9, it looks great, feels great, sharpens easy, but holds a good edge. they ( I have more than one) are American made & affordable !!!!

So I was in the market for a new folding knife, and the CS spartan was the intended target. Got the spartan. While purchasing, i had to look at the other wares at a local knife shop. Saw the BK2 and hefted it. Left for home and could not get that damn knife out of my head. Nearly killed me to wait two weeks for payday and then when it finally came I headed down to the knife shop like a scalded cat, picked up the BK2 and then farted around with some Esee knives ( but that's another story! ) Got home and was in heaven. For some reason since I own firearms I've learned to customize everything in some small way, so I wanted to make my own scales for my new 2. Got a friend with a wood shop, and it just so happened that he had a chunk of Cocobolo, which is what I wanted and he cut out the basic design for me and I went to work sanding down the handles to my spec. I heated up the handles to about 200 deg F and then soaked them with orange oil, wiped em dry and stuck em on. I'm hooked. I just bought the 7 and put the micarta scales on them with a careful bit of sanding down to make them "mine". Yah, Im hooked on Beckers. I would like to see a 6 inch blade sometime.....
Thanks so much for reading.......
