Well, without holding a Becker in hand yet, I was happy to buy a Becker because they work, the designer and manufacturers are involved and they are made in the United States of America.

Imo beckers are a step above the rest. At first the line of knives appear to be extremely simple... and indeed they are quite simple in design... but built into the simplicity are many intricacies. Oxymoronic- I know. Basically, what im saying is they look simple and beastly, and ethan has designed them to do work... and they'll do anything you ask of them. Furthermore each knife in the Becker line-up is as good as the last. And at the price you can pick one up for? Unbeatable

The Becker is the best value for a super quality blade that I found.
I bought an 11 and I had to have a 2...now a 14,9, (can't wait for the tweeners)
I think it is super cool that Ethan, Mr. Becker is active in the forums and from what I've heard/read, he is a fine upstanding young man! I think any Becker knife could (plug your ears here if you work with/for KA-BAR/Becker) ask more for their product and still have a happy large customer base.

Well, I bought a BK2 because I'm used to holding something thick in my hand. Then, I went for the BK9, because I'm also used to holding something a little longer in my hand as well. Then reality struck me up side the head, so I purchased the BK14. Oh crap, I just ordered the Remora.

The funny thing is, I actually did get them in that order too, lol. Worked out well. Perhaps it was a subconscious thing.
